Unless Dallas wins these two games. I've been playing around with the playoff scenarios at this site: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoffscenario?algorithm=currentstandings

and clearly the Eagles game is the more important of the two, but unless Dallas wins both games, a few key games have to go our way.

The way I see, it we need to root for the Vikings, Chargers, and Commanders this week. There are quite a few easy games for the contenders in week 17, so this week is the more realistic chance for some of these teams to lose.

If the Eagles beat the Commanders, we really need to beat them next week.

There could be only two more games this season fellas. I'm quite nervous about it.

Now now Abe, there's no need for sarcasm. Not everybody has been patrolling the board daily reading this stuff (like you and me) :p:

Giants better get their act together. If NYG lose to Carolina and Vikings in the next two weeks both Carolina and Vikings jump them in the seedings and lose the bye spot.

I'm not thinking that far down the road, beat the Ravens then see what happens or what needs to be done.

I don't expect that to happen Inman, BUt it's not out of the question. NY is reeling a little bit right now. I can't wait to watch that Carolina game...if that was in Carolina I'd fell better about it, but the Panthers match up well regardless: Vikes not so much, BUT it's at Minny and the gspots will be coming off a big game vs. Carolina so............it could happen, we'll see.

It would be nice if the Giants fell to the 3rd seed and we got to face them as the 6th seed in the first round and return last year's favor.

I fully expect for the game against the Eagles to be a "do or die" situation.

A horrible weekend would be losing to the Ravens and then watching both Atlanta and Tampa Bay win their games. We'll all need a lot of Pepto Bismo.

I think any one of these scenarios is possible. Main thing though Dallas must win.

ya know, there is a chance we beat philly right?

for some reason everyone is just giving us a loss there like we cant even compete with them or something.

This isnt 2002, this group has had success at philly and against philly in general.

I guess I am more confident with this team having its back to the wall than most.

I agree with you although we are not playing the eagles this weekend. Only game I'm concerned with right now is Dallas vs Balt.

These games will go a long way in separating the contenders from the pretenders. If the teams with REAL playoff aspirations and/or a chance to clinch don't win, they don't deserve to get in. If Atlanta, Chicago and Philly con't win these games, who do they expect to beat in the playoffs...

I'm talking about those two teams specifically. They are already tied with the Cowboys at 9-5, if they gain a one game lead going into the final week we aren't likely to get in with Atlanta hosting the 2-12 Rams and Tampa Bay hosting the 3-11 Raiders.

I can see it happening. The Giants haven't shown anything in the last couple of games that would indicate that they can beat a quality opponent.

Please don't feed me any lines about Jacobs being out. They lose those 2 games even if he's playing.

I don't really see Atlanta, Philly or Tampa Bay winning this weekend, if I am wrong about any one of these three it would probably be Atlanta because of the talent on that team. Tampa has too many injuries (brooks, Phillips and someone else)on D to beat the PO'ed Chargers. Philly is going against a Washington team that is also PO'ed like the Chargers.

well I agree with that 110%.

I happen to think this game is going to be a brawl and I am hoping these guys have enough fight in them. We simply can not give up big returns or have turnovers.

I am just suprised by how many people are throwing in the towel already with the trip to philly. Everybody seems to be trying to find a scenario where we dont need that game. I kind of hope we need it. It is the type of game this team needs to have. I hope this team sees no light at then end of the tunnell and keeps talking about their doom, that seems to be the only way to keep them playing at a high level.

now mcnabb scares me and he will force us to match them score for score but in a strange way I think our team is confident against them, and romo knows the defense and garrett knows how to attack it.

anyway, back to the ravens.

Of the four games, the one that worries me the most is the Eagles at the Commanders. Washington seems to have packed it in for the year and doesn't Philadelphia always seem to put together a winning streak to end the season. I really hope I'm wrong though. God I hate Philly!
