So like 5 years, 40 million gets it done.

Get on it, Stephen.

I wouldnt sign him for 5 million a year. Dime a dozon guys that cant beat single coverage consistently. Sign a veteran on the cheap or take a young kid in the draft with picks 3 or lower.

That's the main thing. He's a good player, he's probably worth 6-7 per year and he fits the team well. He's just not important enough or irreplaceable enough to warrant this team paying that kind of money. Someone can be found in the draft to do what he's asked to do for a fraction of the price and a relatively low pick(3rd-4th).

What makes him a good player? He is a dime a dozen type guy in the NFL.

That's more than we wanted to pay Murray two years ago. At that number, he needs to walk.

He's a decent player, but he's completely replaceable.
Pretty big difference given their positions.

I'm not excited with the idea of paying Williams 6mm. Having said that I'd rather pay Williams 6mm and use a 2nd round pick on a corner than let Williams walk and use a 2nd rounder on a WR who will be a rookie and working with a 2nd year 4th round qb.

He produces with the opportunities he is given, he works hard, he has improved measurably in his time here, he's a good locker room presence won't break the bank and with a young qb continuity and familiarity are an added bonus.

And in retaining him you free draft resources to focus on the defense. Not sure what's not to like.

He hasn't earned anything resembling a raise so we can just say goodbye to him and welcome his drafted replacement.

I have no problem with Twill getting as much money as he can. I just don't think it should be here.

TWill can't throw the ball to himself. Watch the film, the dude gets open a ton. He's a sharp route runner and a great blocker. He's not a No. 1, but he's a high end No. 2. He beats the second corner on other teams when they play man more often than not.

He just gets squeezed out because we have four other options to get the ball to on any given play. He's probably worth that money, just not worth it to Dallas. If he went somewhere he could be the legit second option, he'd produce 1,000-yard seasons.

You got a body catcher with a $0.10 head.. if you want to stay in the top like the New England's of the league this is the type of guy let walk and use the comp pick to find a gem.

All these 'multiple sources' must be agents. Who else would throw out $6-8M/year for TWill? He is decent but I don't see anyone paying that amount.

I would have no issue at 6 to 7 mill a year which is pretty much what 2nd WR are getting paid.

Not interested even at that number.

Me either. A good qb makes an average receiver better, and that's what Twill is. I'll be so glad when we get a 2 in here that can catch with his hands.

Signing TWill to anything remotely close to 6M per sends a message to our guys and every other FA that we are we can be had.

All the teams that want our fringe starters because we were 13-3 can overpay for them. We still have who made them successful.

If he can get squeezed by other guys what in the world makes him worth that kind of money?

If he were as good as you say he would have produced. Romo got Laurent Robinson a 30M contract and you saw how good he was without a good qb.

Think we can get DeSean for that money. Dez, DeSean might be a better duo
