Guess there was no way that Romo was injured and the gameplan was to minimize his risk in the pocket so they went to a short passing game"

Or maybe that was Callahan's play calling all along? Everyone knows he is overly conservative and we have all seen the gun slinger Romo the past 7 years and how it was not successful. Our only chance of beating Denver was to out score them, so the play calling was opened up for Romo to gun sling and hope it was successful. Mix that in with Denver having a horrible defense(30th ranked) and Romo having any pressure knowing that everyone expected us to lose, and Romo then tears it up. Don't expect that going forward though, that was an anomaly game.

Yeah, what happened to Romo the first 4 games? The protection has been spectacular in all 5 games, but Romo lit up Denver because they had a pathetic defense.. not just because he had time to throw.
only romo haters would call the protection spectacular. Injured ribs anyone not a hater?

Not a hater and sacks happen on every team and some yes are on Romo when he holds the ball a bit too long. Evidently you see no improvement in the OL if that is how you feel then I doubt anything or anyone is going to change it.

For me I see major improvement I see most plays where Romo has time to go through his reads and come back to a WR.

I think Garrett realizes that if he wants to keep his job, he'd be better served letting Tony be Tony and not making him into Alex Smith. I hope it continues but I worry about the Skins blitzing. I think you'll see more dink and dunk this week due to their blitzing.

Blitzes don't have to mean dink and dunk. In fact, to a good OC and QB, a blitzing defense is burnt toast.

If you're expecting perfect blocking in thf NFL you might want to lower your expectations.

You also may want to watch some other teams and you'll see we're in a pretty good situation and i'm no Romo hater.

You might be right, time will tell. However, to me, that game resembled the Romo of old, back when he had a decent line and we went 13-3 and so did the game plan. You could be dead on but I think you are not, and this will be the offense we see more often. The injury to Romo was underplayed and the game plans reflected his limited ability due to the injury.

That's what happens when your OL sucks soooo bad for soooo long, as soon as it looks half-ways decent people think they're ready for the SuperBowl.

Of course, all of this coulda-shoulda happened years ago but I'm happy that the OL is on the mend. "Spectacular?" No,,, but they do look much improved in pass protection and about the same in run blocking. Freddy and Leary are still wet behind the ears so I fully expect them to improve even as the season goes on.

I am really interested to see how they handle the blitz on Sunday night. Last season Washington really came after the Cowboys and didnt have much of an answer for it. Hopefully things will be different this time around.
