I know, I was thinking the same thing and it reminded me of the BP and Bledsoe days when we would get a lead and try to sit on it. Boy am I loving this mentality Wade brought, you are up, now dig their graves and bury them.

Just reprocussions of our running game and the O-Line wearing down opponents as the game goes on.

I'm beginning to think that Leonard Davis may be the stealth MVP of the team. Since adding him, our interior line has a nasty attitude that we haven't seen in Dallas for a few years.

Think about it. You're a DT/DE. You have to deal with Andre Gurode and Leonard Davis the whole game. You move out to the outside, and it's Big Marc Colombo and Flozell Adams staring you down.

Unless you're a big boy of a DL, that's going to take its toll in the later quarters.

God. Giddy, just giddy.

If we can keep this up and get Newman/Glenn back on the field sometime around or after week 8, we're gonna be scary come playoffs.

I think Red Ball is more aggressive and does not go into a conservative shell like BP was more prone to do.

BP played too often to shorten a game and win it in the 4th quarter. Red Ball likes to go for the jugular versus grinding a clock - SMART KID

I'm loving this...I hated the way Parcells would go conservative to try and protect a 3 point lead in the middle of the third quarter. This is the way you protect a lead...Pile On MORE POINTS!

With a big nasty OL and a running back with a hardnosed runnig style (MBIII of course) and a top tier passing game we can put games away the way it should be done.

It was absolutely that TD on fourth down that cemented Wade's era in Dallas. Can you imagine BP calling something like that? It's either a run with Julius up the middle, a punt or a shanked field goal by one of the five billion shatty kickers BP ran through town because he didn't respect the position.

Agreed. But we will need to develop a strong consistent running game to run the clock out when we need to.... passing and going for kill shot will not work all the time.... the FACT that he is establishing it will allow teams to wonder and KNOW that it can happen....

so running the clock out and kill shot go hand in hand... IF you only try to run the clock out... teams know... they load and stop the run and get the ball back <-- our achilles heel before
