Dumervil being doubtful is a big blow to their defense and now Jimmy Smith is doubtful. Huge losses for them, Dez and the offense should have a field day.

The Jets powerful defense will be without their best cb, Jimmy Smith (he is doubtful, and has a back injury). I don't see him playing, and if he does, will be limited. They plan to have rookie cb Tavon Young (5-9) cover Dez. Dez will have a field day.

Smith not playing completely alters what they could do in the secondary. No way they leave a 5'9 4th round rookie DB on Dez w/out S help. Having a healthy Smith at least gives them a talented bigger CB that can follow Dez.

Is this new info? Everything I've read and heard says both are playing. This is the Cowboys game, no one sits that out unless they are on death's door.

I don't think it will make a huge difference since this Oline fears no one, but I bet both these guys play.

Gave up 20 pts to the Browns offense

Gave up 17 pts to the Jags offense

Gave up 24 pts to the Jets offense

Gave up 27 pts to the Giants offense

So the fact that they gave up 5 TD scoring drives to the Browns and Jags combined, the Cowboys should win this game 35-14. None of those offenses are on the level of the Cowboys which is why I can't see us winning by 15 or more pts
Agreed. We attack the edges and get playmakers in space - we win handily.

It is for Dumervil. He practiced Wednesday and Thursday but had a set back Friday and is now doubtful. Smith has been hurt all week.

The Ravens have a fine defense.

But they haven't tackled Zeke Elliott with a full head of steam yet.

I take it you don't read other teams forums. Every week we haven't beat anyone according to them. Of course once we smash the Ravens tomorrow they will still be saying that the Ravens suck and are a .500 team.
Gotcha.... missed the sarcasm.

Any team can win on any given Sunday but there is not too much to fear about the Ravens. Their offense doesn't exist.
That's how I look at it. On paper they don't even look good so not sure why anyone is concerned. But like you said any given Sunday. Those guys get paid too.

for the first time in a long time I think Zeke gives us home field advantage.

He feeds on the crowd as much as Dez, but realistically is touching the ball more.

In addition, he can make highlight reel plays with the favorable turf.

He's just a sick combo of power and quickness with good footing.

Good luck Baltimore.

Stadium should be rocking.. You give Cowboy fans a reason to cheer and they'll do it.

I can't wait until we beat them and everyone tells us that they sucked anyway.
When the Cowboys win the Super Bowl, there we be a horde of people proclaiming "They didn't beat any good teams".

Really? They might be better off using an extra Safety to play CB against Dez than a 5-9 guy.

Their other starting CB, Shareece Wright, is listed as questionable.

Yeah jimmy smith being out is a nightmare for them. Either they let Dez go off and try to stop zeke, or let zeke go off and try to stop Dez, or they let both go off.

If Smith and Dumervil are out and the TO differential is -1 or better, this will be an 'easy' win.

That offense is real bad, like one of the worst in the league bad. Only Houston and the Rams score less per drive. Their only chance really is to win the passing differential battle, which will be hard without their best CB and pass rusher.

I'm actually more concerned about Wallace than Smith, Wallace is a big play waiting to happen and he always seems to make one in a big game. It also looks like Smith starts on the left side of the offense, so he'll be matched up with Carr a lot. That's not optimal, but hopefully he'll be pressing him a bit.

Just don't turn the ball over and we good. Can't wait for that battle up front.
