So what would the higher standard be, thats the a

Imagine, with the line they have drawn in the sand about ONE PLAYER on "their" team, if Dak takes us to the superbowl they wont be able to enjoy it...... 25 years of heartache and they gonna be pissed about ONE PLAYER...and he has done nothing but good since he was thrown into the starting position.

I’m talking about yardage starting every position inside or on 30 yard line. Magine that all but one possession last year we started on the opponents side of the field. That’s the traveling an extra 40 yards of the drive.

Well if it wasn’t for the offense getting in position to kick a field goal that never would’ve happened either. Maybe if Elliot didn’t trip over ego he could’ve gotten one or two more for stones

The difference between Dallas at 26.19 and the average starting FP of 28.41 is a matter of two yards, meaning statistically insignificant. Dallas was 16th in the red zone and 22nd on the road, meaning when they got near to the TD, which is un-related to starting FP, they couldn’t put the ball in the end-zone.

Dallas was actually fifth at plays per drive, a half a drive more than the average, and had 170 drives, 14 MORE than the SB winning champions, the Chiefs.

That's a lot of it. Everybody touts this offense but the truth of it is that we move the ball a lot between the 20s. When we get into scoring position, we kinds suck. That's the truth Khiladi.

Dallas has been hovering at 50% the last two years. One could argue that Zeke and the RG were problematic last year, but this year Zeke and Dallas were basically top 5.

    https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-pct

The problem is the passing game.

    https://sportdfw.com/2019/12/04/dallas-cowboys-red-zone-problem/

Dak has thrown for 24 TDs outside the red zone since 2018, the second highest in the league.

    https://www.fantasyguru.com/cowboys-dak-prescott-gets-job-done-outside-red-zone/

Basically, Dak takes advantage of the man coverage on the outside that is a result of the runner by game. Teams basically dare Dak to beat them with their arm and are more than content with giving him the looks in the 20s even with all the speed on the outside.

    https://sportdfw.com/2018/10/24/dallas-cowboys-zone-coverage-is-daks-kryptonite/

Dak is really a product of Cooper and the looks he gets.

So many drives seemed to be our own 10 or something long. And the missed FGs. Grrrr.

So Adam’s excuse is Dak has less 1-2 yard TD chances and more THREE yards to go TDs? Clue.. Dak is still awful from TEN yards out. He was an awful 47%

Also, most of those non-passes are replaced by Dak’s LEGS, but that isn’t mentioned by Adam as one of the reasons why the run rate is higher since 2016.

And it also demonstrates how much Dak has an advantage, because of the RG.

Brett Maher was ranked 14th in FGs, meaning top half of the league. Plenty of kickers actually struggled worse than Maher and Maher has two of the longest FGs in the last two years, one a 62 yarder and one a sixty three.

If you talk 50 plus, Maher scored the third most and was 4 for 8. So Dallas often attempted FGs that weren’t even close, because of his leg and that was in 13 games. Maher was average. This idea Dallas faced some unique experience is a joke.

The Patriots went out and signed Nick Folk mid-season.

    No, not at all

I thought every Cowboys fan was aware that Romo was injured all of 2016 and retired right after. Never cut

He also never held out in his career.

.......alas he also never made the NFC Championship game. Just facts

To be honest, the kid was a bad$$$ in high school but he's shorter than I am, which is 6ft. He's about 5'10, I stood right next to him at one of his games.

Want to talk about awful in the redzone?

Gurley- 29 TDS all 29 in redzone
McCaff- 22 TDs 18 redzone TDs
Zeke- 18 TDs 16 redzone TDs
Henry- 28 TDs 23 redzone TDs

Now this is an area where you gain "dirty yards".
