Brady: Its simple really, they cheated.
Reporter: What? the Giants cheated? what did they do?
Brady: Well, I never received their defensive signals before the game. They were obviously hiding them in clear violation of league rules.
Reporter: But Tom, the other team is not supposed to give you their defensive signals.
Brady (smiling): That is not true, check your facts before you start asking me stupid questions.
Reporter: That is true.
Brady: You mean the other QBs dont know the opposing team's defensive signals prior to the game? that is ludicrous.
Reporter: Of course not.
Brady: This has to be wrong, if this were true how do you complete any passes? how can the OL call the correct protection schemes? i might actually get hit.
Reporter: That is called game planning Tom, that is called coaching.
Brady: But.. but.... coach said getting opposing defensive signals before the game is part of league rules..... coach.....coach...

agreed BP

i still think they are/were a great team and TB is a great QB but they will find it difficult to live down the "cheaters" label because we will never know what sort of edge it gave them.

someone made a great analogy on this board a few days back, the pats are like the barry bonds of football, great to begin with but with the extra edge they got from cheating they could break records to lay claim to the "greatest ever" label.

Absolutely great post. I feel sorry for Brady cause I do think he's a great player whose career is also being tarnished by this spying scandal of the coaching staff.
