yeah I asked the question yesterday if Garrett could've challenged that there was a fumble before the whistle INSTEAD of challenging forward progress.

it looked like the ball was coming out way before the whistle had blown, seems like that should be a challengable play..

It was not challengeable, he tired to challenge claiming the ball was loose before the whistle but refs said it was not reviewable. Nothing more Jason could do

No he wanted the ball the refs claiming the whistle was blown ended the play and any hope of getting a review. Bottom line the refs told him no on the review and during a review any and all parts of the play come into review.

Jerome Boger is the biggest clown of all refs. Yo, dipstick, yes you can challenge if the ball was loose prior to the whistle. The ball came out at contact.

It's hard when the ref is too dumb to understand the question in the challenge. And he barely speaks English when making his calls.

The interference on Wilcox was bogus, too, because the ball was wildly uncatchable. There were many, many more.

Horrible game by a horrible crew.
Wilcox didn't touch that receiver. garbage call

Did anyone see the end of the Seattle game? Mind boggling that they called that clear recovery by the Ram's lineman. No challenge from upstairs either as it was under 2 minutes. I'd be super steamed if our game ended in that fashion. Seattle got hosed bad.

I have to agree. I did not even understand the reasoning.

Bogus as it can get, even though I wanted the Rams to win one.

'Jason Garrett, what did you think about the quick whistle on Terrell McClain's strip-fumble?' Pause...."What do you think I thought about it?"

Then he went on to say that he tried after the play to explain his position on the play and why it should have been a fumble. Very tactfully moving the topic to what happened, rather than questioning the decision again after the fact.

And yes, the officiating was really frustrating yesterday. I'm not a big one for calling foul about referee bias, but it was one of those games where you feel the refereeing was directly involved with the outcome of the game, and that shouldn't happen.

I wouldn't call bias so much as gross incompetence. I hope Dean Blandino rips the crew a new one after watching the film.

Yeah, I'm not sure what was going on, but it was a really unevenly called game. I don't mind a lot of laundry on the field when the calls are all legitimate, but we shouldn't be left wondering how so many plays were interpreted the way they were after a game. Even when it doesn't necessarily affect one team more than another. You don't like feeling like there were three teams out there playing on Sunday.

I don't know what the specifics of the rules are, but it sure looked like he wanted an excuse to challenge that bad call, so I'd imagine it's the case that he just didn't have the grounds to do it. I hate forward progress to begin with, and then that, plus the way-too-quick whistle cost us another possession yesterday. Add it to McClain's return and the Durant pick last week, I guess.

Incompetent would be a good description. NFL, do us a favor and keep that crew away from future Cowboy games.

We seemed to get 4-5 of these stinkers a year (maybe that's embellishing a little bit). I think for the most part, this year they have let our guys play and fairly so. 5 minutes into this game I looked at my son and said buckle up, we're up against two teams today.

I'm with you. refs don't care who wins. For the most part they are terrible sports wide.

Pete was pretty animated, I love watching that guy.

It's like they are opposed to burying teams.
Burying teams early lol

It just looked to me that that Fox(or the NFL) did not want to see this game get out of hand early. I think they knew if Dallas got up 14-0 the game would look a lot like the Philly -Giants game from last week. That was the last thing they wanted as far as TV rating are concerned. I think the refs got a message from someone higher up in the league to allow some judgement calls to keep the game close. I know it sounds dirty and it is, but the NFL is a big money business.

Yea, Denver was getting a lot of calls last night

Watching last night's game of them and SF was like a scripted WWF match. And the announcers were slobbering all over Peyton all night. I couldn't take any more of it. The only thing that made it somewhat positive was the Niners were on the end of the beatdown.
