I noticed too that Roy doesn't seem to be as agile as he used to be. I remember times in his first 2-3 years in the league where he'd be off the screen and then all the sudden he'd fill a hole and destroy a runner in the backfield.
He's still one of the better SS's in the league, but I don't think he's an impact player anymore. He was just kind of 'eh' tonight.

Dont know bout' cutting him................but all the talk about him playing at or near the line of scrim...............forget it................

seriously cut him or trade him as some well say??? thats dumb but seriously that was the worst game Roy Williams has played in his career and thats actually saying a lot. I do agree that he is among the worst cover safeties in the NFL but i mean what could we do. our secondary is so banged up that he was forced to play coverage or well didnt play coverage but tried...

Cut him and he goes to another team with a good front 7 like Philly and kicks our *** every year making play after play. And we get a ****ty safety that won't make plays.
We need to get a defensive line and some good linebackers. I'm sorry they did nothing in the game tonight. I'm not even sure if we have NFL quality guys in that area.

I know he makes a ton of money, but I'd play him at LB in the nickle defense or take him out on passing plays.

You guys can "yawn" all you want, fact is he IS the worst cover safety in the world, and IMO hurts the team more than he helps.
