The season is over these trades are too late

I agree the season is already over but finally we've now acquired a quality DT, this sets us up well to addressing other defensive areas in next years draft.
correct! You get it. I wish more posters would. Sometimes in order to go forward significantly, you first must go backward. That is in progress right now. We will be ok.

No one sells false hope to the masses quite like the drunken clown.
nobody likes the two clowns but on this trade or trades yesterday, when you fit them into what we have now, and might have after the draft next year(not including free agency), we might be very good.

Jerry made these trades to suck fans back in only. Jerry refuses to fix the Eberflus problem and the Jerry GM problem. How do you expect the defense to be better if you continue to keep a poor coordinator.
it worked. The horrible loss to the Cardinals is largely forgotten.

No way. No single player outside of a top franchise QB is worth three wins in nine games.
I generally agree but the three games in question would have been against the Eagles, Packers (meaning they did not have Parsons and the Cowboys did) and the Panthers. Three incredibly close games which given how much impact Parsons had in many games for the Cowboys he could have been the difference in pushing the needle in those three specific games. Appreciate people will likely cite the 5 sacks by Garrett resulting in nothing but those three games were exceptionally close, a play or two here and there dictating the results.

Lol, when it comes to the Jones boys it seems like everything is done too late

If the guys that were paying big money now stepped up and we won the eagles game and the Panthers game like we very much should have I would consider these really good trades.
Well said. Anyone with any objectivity left would agree. If we were contending for a championship and we did this I would be hyped. Let go baby that is what you call going for it. This type of trade from a trash team is only possible in Dallas. No other organization would make such an absurd move. We are mortgaging our future to avoid being a laughing stock for the rest of the season. We are deep into the Al Davis timeline people. Things can only keep getting worse.

But lots of NFL games are that close. We just notice it more because it's our team.

I get that but even in the Packers game for example it was Parsons who stopped Prescott for rushing in for what would have been the game winning touchdown.

Unfortunately I have to agree. The Cowboys would need to run the table or best case scenario only lose one more game and I don't see that happening so here's to 2026.

So lets say we will suck. In the offseason would you rather trade for Quinnen Williams or spend a 1st rounder on a rookie DT?

BTW we still have our 2 first rounders this season. Yes I wish we could have made the trade before the season or a few weeks but maybe the asking price was too high then. Maybe they wanted 2 first rounders and Jerry wasn't doing that.

I still love the fact that we will have Quinnen Williams on this team next season. Just think of it as getting him a few months early lol

I saw on the Jets forum that they were happy it was our 2027 pick and not Green Bay's. Oh, how I hope our pick is way lower than Green Bay's that year. Will be hilarious.

Nah, I don't think so. Maybe for an afternoon it was forgotten, but the L and the effect it has on our playoff chances stays all year.

I get being cynical, but I really don't think even Jerry would trade a first and a second as a two- or three-week distraction. This is about the future and how hard it is to acquire a top-top 3-tech.

The trades are good for next season.

The Cowboys can't draft DTs.
- Good at drafting OL and some other positions, but suck at drafting DT.

The LB appears to be a perfect fit and only required a 7th. I would have given more than that if it gets Kenneth Murray off the field...
Good at drafting OL?

Guyton is terrible. And booker doesnt look like a top 15 pick currently.

We have 3 wins after 9 games. Mathematically a 7% chance of making the playoffs. It’s over . There is no season to save. You lost any last gasp hopes last night.

Throw in a brutal schedule after LV with Phil, KC , Det, Minn and LAC in consecutive weeks. That’s probably 4-10-1. With possibly a couple crap meaningless games end of year against Wash and NYG nobody will care about. 6-10-1 MAYBE…

This team is washed up. Even this offense we can’t count on but if AZ can stop it these playoff contenders coming will . And run roughshod over this defense + Williams.

These trades were needed weeks ago and or before the season. The AZ loss makes these a waste of time this year. Total waste of assets to prop up the season.

So we basically only have one1st round pick plus Williams less a 2nd rounder for Micah. Bravo Jethro. Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse. You crapped the bed again. Pitiful!!!
Agree.

Eber wrecked the season with his jacked up Zone Cover schemes.

And Jerry ruined it by trading Micah.

game over.

so outside of that, Mrs Lincoln, how did you like the play?
