Jerry’s problem….won’t do what’s necessary to get over the top to compete for a deep playoff run when the time comes (21-23), but will go to any length to keep his head above water so he can sell his great job.

Probably looked at the Cooper trade at 3-5 as justification for this. Different day and format.

I really like both players, but it’s too late (they couldn’t beat the Cardinals at home?). They needed to beat Phillly and GB and things would have been different.

They aren’t winning the division, and while Dak is playing some decent ball, the easier portion of the schedule is behind us, and this team as a whole is NOT winning three consecutive road playoff games just to get into the SB. No way. They’ve won three since 1991.

Interesting how suddenly DT is such an important position when things could have been much better if they figured that out years ago.

These trades were needed weeks ago and or before the season. The AZ loss makes these a waste of time this year. Total waste of assets to prop up the season.

The trades fulfilled their purpose in getting fans back onboard and generated positive attention after getting blown out on MNF. A realistic viewpoint doesn't matter to Jerry... just generating interest and raising that valuation

I would have liked to trade Pickens for a Number 1 or a 2 and 3.
Fowler is showing up a lot.

If we had traded Pickens, then we'd just have to replace him. I like what I've seen from Flournoy, but don't know if he's ready or able to be a No. 2. I want us to focus on defense with the draft picks we've got, so I'd prefer we keep him.

I'd be fine with keeping Fowler around next year as well as a designated pass rusher. He's good in that role, but not when you ask him to be a run defender. That's not him even if he occasionally makes a stop. I think our ends next year need to be first-round rookie, Eze, Clowney, Kneeland and Fowler, and I could live without Kneeland at this point.

Our other first-rounder needs to be spent on the secondary unless Luke Wilson craps out at linebacker or Overshown gets hurt again. I wouldn't mind trading down a little to see if we can recoup a third and then drafting a safety and a linebacker. In fact, I'd probably draft all safeties and defensive backs other than the one first-round end.

I like Williams as a player. And there it ends. Somebody explain me that trade for that washed up LB?! I know it cant get worse than Murray. But this guy is not so much of an upgrade. And he may play maybe one more year and then call it a career.

We have Williams for 2 more seasons. After that his contract is up. Unless we renegotiate him right now (which would be dumb) he will be here for the rebuilding phase.

The LB wont be playing for more than one or two years. He is already way beyond his peak.

Now we have less needs for next year. These are proven NFL players! In the draft next year there is a 99% probability we are not going to get a DT of Williams caliber.
