I thought Romo's back was a non-issue when he wanted to re-enter the third preseason game and team said he was fine... until the MRI

Well everyone clamored for him to get the ball more and here you go!

Wouldn't dez coming back to finish the game risk further injury if in fact he was injured? I seriously doubt the team doctors would let dez re-enter the game if that was the case.

Except for ACL's where they can feel the instability, the doctors don't know until the MRI.

I'm extremely worried too. But how bad could it possibly be if he walked off the field and then came back into the game?

He's day to day. We have football players, who love playing football. We have a next man up philosophy when it comes to our football team. In football you have setbacks, but we have talented players who love football. Dez loves football and it's contagious, so he will soak in the tub with a football, thinking about nothing but football, and get healed to help this football team!

probably only did x-ray and other preliminary tests to confirm nothing major, which is why he was able to come back

MRI will show more minor sprains, tears, etc.

No, but we usually do when there is nothing wrong.

Maybe we are gonna give him time off practice.

New designations for injury reports give a ton more leeway for pushing the envelope

If so I'll bet Jerry wishes he would have given him an incentive based contract.
I think Jerry tried lol hence the holdout. Jerry wanted to franchise him too, he really didn't want to go long term with lots of guaranteed money.

The silence is meaningless. It is absolutely clear that Garrett would like to follow the Belichek School of reporting. 'Give your opponent as little information as possible' Sure, Jerry screws that up a lot. But, why would we have heard anything one way or another unless we needed to move Dez to IR to add roster space? If he's hurt why let Chip Kelly prepare for something else? If he's fine, why not make Kelly do extra non-Dez work?

It sucks to be in suspense but silence is a tool.

Well that went caput since he apparently just settled with Royce West after his monkey pooped all over the carpet!!!
