Like the rest of you, I've been trying to figure out how the Boys can fix their current downslide (not that I have the power to do anything). I know we have key people missing due to injury -- Romo, Newman, Pacman (I know, don't say it), Spencer, etc.

There are problems on both sides of the ball.

But, I looked back at the record of the '93 champions. They started out 0-2 and didn't get above .500 until week 6 (beat Indy 27-3). That team had high expectations and faced adversity early in the season. They went on to win their second consecutive championship that year.

I know this is a different team with a different style, but they are still the Cowboys. This has to be humiliating for them. A little humiliation can go a long way. I just hope it doesn't go past the bye week.

The most important thing to remember is this thing can be fixed.

Newman will return, Romo will return, Felix will return, REW will get acclimated to the offense, etc.

The Giants and Commanders play more games on the road than home, whereas we play 5 of the next 9 at home.

The Commanders average about 5 points a game when winning, whereas we average over 10. Yes, we got whooped by the Rams, but the Skins lost to them too and barely squeaked out a win against the Browns. The same Brown team we beat by 18 and that had destroyed the Giants.

Anything can happen the rest of the season. Campbell hurt his groin or something. Burress is starting to cause distractions. Both teams could experience the same woes we have, we just have to fight out of ours and take back the east.

The sky fell, now let's regroup before the season of opportunity passes us by.
