This game was a disaster but it doesn’t change much. Many of us have said for a while that this isn’t a Super Bowl team but it is a playoff team. In the NFL you have to execute and avoid turnovers – and Dallas did neither one today. Do that against a good team like the Eagles and you will lose. Do it against a good team that does both against you and you lose big.

The posts here are going to dredge up every old argument going back to the Aikman/Steve Walsh debate. But the team is 8-4 and going to the playoffs. It is a good team. Considering it has no pass rush that is pretty good – and certainly above expectations for the year.

Dallas has had two games without execution and with turnovers, like every team in the NFL does. Dallas has done it twice, and after they did it in the first game of the season they won their next six games in a row. No matter how ugly this was, we are still going to the playoffs and adding pass rushers this offseason.

I'm not so sure we are going to the playoffs this year. In 2011, we were 7-4 and only won one more game after that.

What bothers me most is that this was a division game and we got blown out.

Division games are supposed to be tough for everyone. That's why we lost to the Deadskins and had close games against the Gints.

Yet we get blown out at home by a divisional opponent. That is what bother me the most.

It is no lock that dallas makes the playoffs. They need 11 wins to get there with the NFC South being so bad. There are 4 deserving teams battling for those 2 spots.

The thing about Cowboy fans.....and maybe fans in general is that they want a easy route to the playoffs. Because before this game everyone was saying it was a "must-win". Uhhh no.

Look, if the Cowboy stake care of business in the month of December they are in the playoffs. If they can't, frankly, I don't even want to be in the post season at that point. If we can't beat the Eagirls, Deadskins, Bears or Colts or atleast go 3-1 in that stretch? Our chances in the post season are slim anyway if we can't beat those teams.

Today's loss sucked. But its not the end of the world. When we get 6 or 7 losses than you can press the panic button.

This is kinda where I'm at right now. I'm a bit surprised we got rolled like we did, but I'm guessing we'll be fine against Chicago and I think we'll play a much more competitive game in Philly. If we don't win that next Philly game, we're in real trouble, but I think we have a shot at it.

Hopefully, Dallas will catch lightening in a bottle and the Defense will play over their heads the next 4 games...

If they don't and they limp into the playoffs. It's one and done.

Totally agree. Makes me want to break out the R-E-L-A-X that A Rogers used a few weeks ago. This team is not going to win the Super Bowl this year, but they will, in all likelihood, go to the playoffs. I don't recall anyone saying there was a chance of that before the season started. After that stinker yesterday, I knew the "see I told you they weren't any good" posters would be back in full force, and sure enough they're back. This team will get a lot better on Defense before next season, and that will make a huge difference in this team being a legitimate contender. Forget yesterday, this O-Line is for real and will be better next year. The arrow is pointing up. Yes I'm disappointed in yesterday's performance like everybody else, but I see good things for this team going forward. We really haven't been able to say that for a good while. Just my 2 cents.

Some of you seem to think we have a playoff spot wrapped up. In actuality, we're more likely to miss the playoffs than make it. The Lions or Packers are getting one wildcard. While we have the head to head with Seattle, we don't win a three way tiebreaker due to conference record. Plus, I think Seattle will most likely end up with a better record anyway, making all tiebreakers a moot point. To guarantee a playoff spot, we need to go 4-0. We're much more likely to go 0-4 than 4-0.

Yes, I think they still have a shot at winning the next game against Philly. They'll have full week next time and they should have a better feel for playing against Philly's offense.

3 games on the road and i think they have a better chance of winning those than the one at home. But one week at a time, the table is set for Romo to prove his detarctors wrong and LEAD this team into the playoffs, if not it will be another "wait til next year" scenario, which has gotten old.
