I would put Romo slightly higher than 10th...but it's not worth the argument without any playoff wins. He's somewhere in the 7-11 range...so 10 is not way out of line.

You lost all credibilty saying Thomas Jones is better than Marion Barber.
good grief man.

I was at least kind of on the same page with you until you threw him in there. Jacobs is highly debatable too. Some of the other are debatable too, imo. But most non-Cowboy fans would probably agree with your list excluding (VERY obviously) Jones and maybe Jacobs.
Look at Thomas Jones last 4 season compared to Barber's. Don't give me this crap that Barber wasn't the starter and all of that. If Barber is better than Thomas Jones you'd think he'd have convinced our coaching staff that he was at least better than his brother Julius. Thomas Jones has been a very solid and underrated RB in the NFL the past 4 seasons.

Here is a thought... Turner had 376 carries last season. Do you know the most carries MBIII has had in his career? Last season he had 238. Do the math... Give Barber 138 more carries, even at his 3.7 avg. and he has just under 1,400 yards... with probably 12-13TD's...

In 2007 Barber had just as good of a season as Jacobs did last year. 15 less carries and 115 or so less yards. But he played everygame! And he also had 200+ more total yards than Jacobs did last season. Jacobs hasn't done that as a pro to this point.

Like I said, I am not arguing that Barber is a top 10 back, I'm just saying that you have to look at him really hard, if you are putting some of those other guys up there.
That's kind of my point. He's yet to put together a full season.

He's been a starting RB for one season. He's never had a 1,000 yard season. Very reachable these days. Yet, some of our fans claim he's a top 10 NFL RB?

And to say he's better than AP? Come on...take off the colored shades and be objective.

Okay...if you have TJ man-love...run with it bro.

Outside of maybe NY Jets fans, you would be very very alone in that assessment...but go for it. I think there is a real chance that Thomas Jones would be the 4th best RB on the Cowboys, but who knows for sure. He did have a nice season last year with a zillion carries running behind an amazing oline. So hats off to him.

I'm not in love with the guy, I just think he's very underrated. The guy is very productive in every facet of the game.

i'd give u he's underated but to an extent remember this guy was a top 5 pick folks.

but also mb3 runs in the toughest division in football when guys like gore go against cardinals, rams, and seahawks twice a year.

not to mention buffalo, miami, new england all arent great at stopping the run.

barber is a monster and i bet if you asked a panel of gm's in the league barber would definately crack the top 10.

its no way im taking d.williams on gameday over barber if our idiot coordinator decides to run the ball.

those guys turner, williams, and gore, and jones play in a hell of alot weaker division.

its interesting that we bring this up because i was arguing emmitt vs barry at work last month and we looked at the stats and barry definately benefited from playing against weaker nfc central opponents.

his huge days came against that division when they played 8 games against them. emmitt would have killed that division too.

But to say that Jacobs has put together a full season is just absurd! He hasn't stayed healthy for a full season. He went over 1,000 yards twice but barely. And to say that Barbars lack of touches are his fault is equally as nuts. Jacobs had like 1,009 yards and 1090 yards. So unless your criteria for a top ten back is gaining 1,000 rushing yards then I don't understand your arguement? Barber is the more rounded back... Blocking, rushing, and CATCHING and consistently has gained more yards from scrimmage than BJ. IMO that makes him a better back.
