Inventory on the upcoming offseason...

We know now that Dallas will likely have two of the top 38 draft picks in May, including a top five pick, and a host of compensatory picks.

But also, the Cowboys can create over $40 million in cap space. Cap hell is largely over.

Time to be shrewd, opportunistic, ballsy, and measured, all in the correct amounts.

Will McClay needs to be at his dead-level best.

Lol, were now becoming Commander fans

Leg the cry "off season champs" ring out

Extremely talented. One of the most talented 4-12 teams in recent memory.

That's what has gotten me through all this losing. Marveling at all our talent.

I need to save that response. Gold. It cuts through the Pollyanna bs and offers real perspective on the Cowboys. Good job, bloke!

Jerrah ought to blow this mess of a team up. Fire the FO, including his family members and hire real football people to reassemble the team. And then Jerrah needs to stay out of it. Will it happen? Heck no it won't happen. He thinks, as many on this forum do that the core of this team still has great potential. To those that have that mind set... get use to watching video of Super Bowls past because that's the only ones you will be seeing involving the Dallas Cowboys.

You mean you disagree. Attacking the messenger rather than the message is not how we do things on cowboyzone. What exactly do you disagree with? If we are to have a discusion we need to be clear of which we speak. You know my position because I was clear with my point. What do you disagree with?

And the Raiders had underlings under senile Al Davis. The Commanders had support staff for Dan Snyder.

I forgot more than those two idiots will ever know and anybody keeping score over the years knows it. They may not like it but they know it.
Anyone can bust.

It's about 50 percent in the first round for most positions.

It's about a 95 percent bust rate for quarterbacks.

I'm sure you exaggerating with 99% of QB's taken in the 1st rd fail. Here's a link with real numbers about QB's drafted in the 1st rd.
http://www.cleveland.com/datacentral/index.ssf/2015/04/success_for_quarterbacks_picke.html

Locker, Ponder, Gabbert, RG3, Quinn, Russell, Weeden, Freeman, Clausen, Manuel, Leinart, Kaepernick, Mallett, Foles, Bradford.....

Bridgewater really isn't making many big plays downfield, much like Alex Smith. The jury is still out on Tannehill, Bortles, Manziel, Mariotta, Osweiler, and even Luck, who throws interceptions by the bushel. Carr looks promising, and Dalton is now established.

Other than Scandrick and BJones in the secondary, that area isn't very talented. Dez hasn't been Dez, and our other wr's can't separate consistently. We need more speed there. We need a rt to replace Free. If Hardy leaves, then we need more help at DE/DT. We will still need to upgrade DT.

I for one want to see more of Butler in these last two games. He seems to have great hands, and speed compared to Dez/Williams. Put all three into a formation with Butler going deep. Also lets see more of Williams or Dez on the slant

Are you your own lawyer, doctor, handyman? Chance are no, you are not. Experts get paid to do what they are good at. Fans are good at thinking they know better than the folks who get paid but in reality... they just aren't.

Sounds like a self description there. :)

So you're saying the 5 or 6 cheap shots you took in a previous post for people who don't agree about blowing up everything don't count then. Ok, just so we're clear.

Same amount Rivera had entering this season.

If Jason Garrett leads us to a 14-0 start next season and i'll applaud him, but to me it looks like the Cowboys rode Murray to a 12-4 record ... I hope I'm wrong ... but to be 4-10 at this point leads me to believe theres more wrong with this team than the backup QB position ... but like I said I hope I'm wrong because Garrett is here for at least 2 more seasons.

I get the joke but our situation almost mirrors Baltimore.

Some good young tough talented players, Romo and Witten are here....We have 2 picks in the top 38, we got Collins on steal, some money in FA, couple all that with an easier schedule and healthy Romo next year...Im thinking were going to win it all....

Its like a broken record for 20 years. save a few here and there....thats part of the problem. We think we are actually good at what we do......................................."we" = cowboyszone to include FO , water boy, and Joe Fan.

Rather than trolling the threads to stalk me down and attack me, why don't show where I attacked other posters rather than their post. And then when you can't do that you can apologize or just shut up.
