That may be true, but what exactly does it mean? Who exactly has quit? Why did they quit?

Romo (Nope)
TO? (Not likely)
Barber? (NO, but he has been fumbling a lot)
Witten? (I don't think so)
The offensive line? (might be on to something here, but who exactly? FLO? Columbo? Can't say Procter, because he never got started enough to quit)
The defensive line? (perhaps)
Ware? (No)
The Linebackers? (Ellis seems to have mostly quit)
The CBs? (Henry is miserable, but not sure he has quit, everyone else is hurt or suspended)
The safeties? (See the CBs)
Special teams (they never tried in the first place)

So, who exactly in your opinion has quit? let's hear some names! :(

"Quitting" is not the word. "Dissaray" is more like it. This is just one confused bunch.

Wade has lost this team .... they have not quit.

They have no confidence in what Wade, Reed, or Stewart says .... so I think they are improvising.

When people say players have "quit" on a coach it does not always mean they have stopped trying and playing hard .... just that they stopped buying in to that coaches system..

Hope that explains it a little better.

I think when we heard the rumblings about the coaching staff after the Philly game, that is when things started falling apart. Basically, I think Wade chose his coaches (Stewart and Read) over the player's legitimate gripes concerning them, and therefore lost the team. It sent a message that he trusted his coaches more, despite the fact that they are totally in over their heads, over the talent of the players.

So they've quit on every coach but Garrett? Looks like the Oline quit on Garrett a few weeks ago when he decided to run the ball 8 times against Washington.

First they quit on themselves.

Then they quit on coach jerry.

Then they quit on wade.

that is the order this team operates in.

It looked like campos team in 02 at washington and at ny when they just kept lining up and running right at us and our team just layed down and said do what you want.

only now we have a franchise qb, 4 capable wr, the best tight end in the league, one of the five best players in the entire league in ware and a terrific group of young rb.

Its absolutely a numbing day for me. Its like my high school girlfriend dumped me or something. This completely sucks. Its not even halloween for crying out loud.

Possibly ..... but then again until last game we averaged over 24 points a game.

Never said Garrett was mistake free.

Just think Wade has lost the team and Garrett is our best chance if he is fired.

Sorry I ruffled your feathers with the Garrett talk.

Good point. Watching Stewart on the sidelines it seems to me that the players have no respect for him at all.

If this team has quit on Wade in week 7 with a winning record than we have more of a player problem than anyone realises.

If what you say is true than our problems run much deeper than Wade.

on the nfl.com game highlights, you see a short clip of Stewart talking to the defense on the sideline after a Rams TD... it looks like they're all shaking their head with "dude just shut up" looks on their faces

I could be wrong but that was my interpretation of it

You are right ..... and I have admitted that.

I apologized to some of the well known posters and if they read this they can back me up.

If I did it to you then I am sorry ..... You were right .... there was something wrong with the mentality of the team.

I was wrong .... I ignored it because I did not want to see the talent we have wasted.

But it is obvious to me now that Wade has lost this team.

Right on the money imo.

We have to talk about the believe in the coach and in his system. right now there are players who seem not to respond to well. They for sure fight in the game (like for example Romo) but they don't seem to function as a team. They seem to start playing for themselves

To me that's quitting too. And with this in mind this belongs to everybody on that list in the initial post.

When i judge like players act on the field there are only few who really act like trying to hold the team together. That's Keith Davis for example or - and i know some of you don't want to hear this - Adam Jones too.

The only thing he has lost is their attention.

You cant say hes completely lost this team. This team likes Wade.

If the Bucs come out and kick our butts than ill say OK hes lost the team.

But this team just needs to be focused and thats their #1 problem.

"Its the Rams dude" was the mentality going into this game.

NEWSFLASH

Its the NFL DUDE!

Talking Cowboys had a much better view of this. I don't think it's that they've quit it's that they've had their confidence shattered on them and they don't quite know how to shake themselves out of this funk and realise that they're not simply going to see teams melt, and quit, when the Cowboys walk onto the field to face them.

This is not a team, it is a collection of diversely skilled individuals, each of which is trying to do his thing in isolation from the others. It is more like a semi-disorganized mob than a team. They have little cohesion and no synergism.

Jerry only understands super stars and glitz and glitter and has little or no comprehension of the concept of teamwork.

Let's face it, the old Jerry has re-emerged.

I Really Really hope you are right ..... and I mean that ....

I like Wade ..... and I was really hoping he would cement his legacy as a great coach by bringing us a 6th title.

I DO NOT have an agenda here ..... I just want something done to shake this team back to its pre November of last year self.

Like I said .... Hope you are right.

I think what it is, is that this team just wasn't as good as everyone thought it was, including Jerry who resigned guys like Hamlin to giants contracts. We may have been 13-3 last year, but we were probably more like a 10-6 team (should have lost in Detroit and Buffalo and choose another one). I am not sure about all the people who claim we have so much talent. On offense, maybe--but even there the offensive line was massively overrated. Yes, the coach is not very good, but the players--especially on defense--are just not that good--and not very smart either.
