Yes, finally! I am having my kidney transplant on June 5th in Lubbock, Texas. One of my best friends since 3rd grade is generous enough to give me the gift of life. :starspin

Thank everyone for your well wishes. I only have 16 dialysis days left..... 35 regular days.

I cannot thank my friend enough. We have been friends since 3rd grade. She indeed is a very special person.

Yes, I will have access to the net while I am in the hospital (I don't know about ICU, but I will only be in ICU for 24 hours). I will give yall an update as soon as I can. I will be in the hospital for 5 days, then I go to a hotel for 2 weeks. Both hospital and hotel have Wi-Fi Thank the Lord!!!!

Just a way of lettin' you know you're not alone... I can afford to miss a coupla meals, anyway... and as a diabetic, perhaps some day I'll be walking where you are now, so maybe this is some good karma for me...

A lot of us care, and I'll prove it by goin' hungry on the 5th... you hang tough, and come out the other side...

It won't be long now... you must be excited, and scared out of your mind... try to focus on the former... think about how much better your life will be with a healthy kidney...
