The Dolphins are 3-4. More than likely they will miss the playoffs. However, they are a team in a serious need of confidence. Trading off your best passrusher, and #2 best player on defense pretty much ***** on the idea of hoping for the playoffs.

Although the idea might be intriguing, I see no reason to believe this guy can make a significant impact. Generally, one guy does not make a difference. When you factor in the potential cost -- a high draft pick -- the idea becomes less appealing.

Freeney hasn't done much in Atlanta.. 6 solo tackles, 3 sacks(37th).. so not signing him wasn't a bad idea..

Freeny is not starting he is only coming in on limited snaps as a pass rusher. He still helps bring pressure and the cost would have been cheap to get him. Dallas choose not to so it is water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned

Not true. Freeney has been instrumental in opening up things for Vic Beasley. He could have done the same for D-Law.

Willie Young is the player to go get in my opinion.. Bears should be in sell mode and I'd think you could get him for a 4th or 5th.. Talented player and should be able to fit in any scheme, I realize he's an OLB for the Bears, but I'm sure he'd have no problem playing down on the line.

Bringing in old Defensive players this year is pointless. Wake or his kind will not help the Cowboys goal of winning a SB. Draft defensive next draft and watch out. The club needs some hardnosed young players to give this defense a real identity. Next year, if a Haley or Harrison type player was available. Yes, add him and win a SB. But, the foundation of the defense needs to be stiffened first. Old retreads are not good enough.

Yeah Hardy took off real strong then was just an average player with problems.

If the Dolphins are realistic about their chances though they would make the trade to help build a better team for next year and beyond. Dallas has a real chance to make it this year and they need to explore all options, next year they probably will not have the luxury of two QBs that can win. The real question for Dallas is do they think Wake is that much of an upgrade over an improving Irving.

Ross just spent money redoing his stadium. Trading off Wake means even less will show up imo.
Wake could still play next year and it's not like they have options past Wake.
