OK...I guess the pain has finally worn off and I can admit that I traveled from the metroplex to go to the Green Bay game.
First road game I have ever gone to. Lambeau is an amazing experience, and the fans are crazy. Still worth it despite the awful loss.
I will not give my list of observations, as others have already done a far better job than I could ever do. I will however mention something that seemingly no one else (media or otherwise) has mentioned: Roy is absolutely justified and correct when he says the lights were the cause of his drop. It got dark amazingly early there, and the lights were on in the first quarter. He was staring directly into the midfield light section when the pass in question hit him in the face. I couldn't believe he didn't catch it at the time, but his positioning was the "perfect storm" for a lost-in-the-lights drop. To his credit he also ran a phenomenal route on the fumble play - immediately when he cut, I thought he would score - absolutely brilliant and quick route. Woodson wasn't even looking when he "accidently" stripped the ball...Roy needs to be more aware, for sure, but that's a one in one hundred occurrence...
So, anyway...Roy had some flukey things happen in that game, but so did the whole team...it was like a full moon.
But having seen Roy play a couple of times, I still think he is an outstanding receiver...no need for panic, he will be fine.
Just thought some might find interesting the perspective of someone who was there...
