The Washington Game is a must win!

A win puts us in the playoff sweepstakes. A loss puts us in the Caleb Downs, Arvel Reese sweepstakes.
We don't know where the Cowboys head is far as who they would pick in the first round that list is far from being finalized, i'm sure they're not thinking about the draft like fans are... I mean they had TET number one on their board last year so that was a wide receiver would have went at 12 if he was there george Pickens would even be here.

I’m going likely miss the games in NZ unless I can find a good streaming site on WiFi to watch on mobile. But this commie game I’ll be somewhere over the Pacific at game time. They should have WiFi on board its Air NZ. I’m old. Wish me luck.
I should still be able to follow the forum.
If something goes awry, with a broken bungee cord, skydive wreck, jet boat crash, etc I’ll miss my Cowboy brothers and sisters more than you know.

Right over the last couple decades I've only had about four games I've missed because there was no Wi-fi I was on a bus or a plane and it usually is the last game of the year so it wasn't a big deal typically but yeah I hated it I just used my phone and used Bleacher Report and select Live and just looked at the play by play and the score every now and again if I can find it on you know just a regular cellular signal...

Have to agree with Lex on this, 8-9 or 9-8 and picking in the teens like last draft does this team no good. Had enough of that with Red 8-8 and picking there. Yes because picking early doesn’t guarantee success but will take my chances there. Like saying 3 stars in college football team beating a team of 5 stars, could happen but will take my chances with the 5 star team.
Doesn't matter right now I hope they win every game that's what matters What you think this final record is gonna be and start thinking tanking and what not that's ridiculous right now going into Game 7 that's just it ridiculous we are not thinking about where we might be in the draft and we're not going to lose games on purpose...

Pick where you pick they got Parsons at 12, Booker at 12, they got Lamb at 17 Tyler smith at 24 , Martin at 16 , Travis Fredrick at 31, dez at 24 , ware at 11 , you got plenty of good players to pick from with two 1st round picks if they can't find a good guy then they shouldn't be scouts and Will Mclean needs to be fired...

I mean seriously I get it you can hope for a better draft spot but not at the expense of the rest of this year so let's get off that nonsense And I just named a bunch of good players but we get what other teams have found II believe Patrick Mahomes was picked around 13? TJ watt around twenty four, was it?

Shall I go on?

Either every game is a must-win or none of them are.

Every loss doesn't make the other games more of a must-win. It makes them less.

Technically, the only must-win games are the ones that mathematically eliminates the team from the playoffs.

To all those in this thread that are hoping that we can make the play offs because the rest of our division may let us scrape in, i'd like to ask, what is the point of being a 9-8 team in the post season?

Don't forget Emmitt at 17. Nobody is denying that you can luck into picks later in the first round. But it's always better to pick higher. Especially if you're not drafting a QB. You can trade that pick for a haul.

I can't root for the team to lose. But it does look like we're headed towards a 7-9 win season. Of the bad records a team can have, that's the worst.

None of them are must wins when it's super clear the team's not going anywhere.
I agree - all I ask is that they are close and competitive games. Worth watching.- and so far this year most have been interesting and entertaining. I think thats all we better expect at this point. Its a fun offense to watch, until it gets to crunch time. Still think we may all see a 70 harder from Aubrey too.

Not luck the first round is going to be full of mistakes at the top people overdraft big names and they don't work out especially quarterbacks and that leaves a lot of them down there from 12 to 20 you can pick a lot of good players it's not luck If you say that that means all teams are lucky This isn't luck that's pretty consistent that's a lot of names I pick just in the last I was trying to stay in the last decade..

Yeah if you want to go all the way back to Emmitt Smith I mean that's getting way back there I was just trying to stay into recent knowing jimmy drafts and you can see that there's still a lot of good players down there...

How can it be the worst I realize you don't want to be mid in the draft but yes I I've heard the philosophers that the know it all experts around social media say that if you're not gonna make the playoffs you need to play your worst but you can't tank so that's just gonna be organic take it how it goes as bad as this defense is, organically we will pick where we pick.

The front office just needs to go into this draft knowing we don't have time to wait on anyone you got to try to pick 4 to 5 players in the first three rounds with some extra pick, if George Pickens isn't here, we're probably going to get another second if they put a tender on him properly with the tag, and then let him go but at words it'd be another 3rd, you looks like we probably get an extra first possibly an extra second or third, I mean you can use those to pick some really good players or you can trade a couple and move up and get three great players..

They can use some other extra draft picks in draft capital to actually move up Given they probably have five picks coming I'm assuming George is leaving but with other comp picks and everything you can get three of the top players in this draft if you do it right.

The Cowboys just want to use those picks where they fall that's fine pick BPA with the defense in mind, but you need to get another receiver to replace Pickens but again, they have a lot of picks this draft can definitely turn the team around in a hurry if they do it right.....

Like in short you can't worry about that as a fan you got to hope for wins if we organically lose you pick where you pick and you got to hope that they are very strong in the draft this year no reaches no injuries maximize all your extra picks go after BPA and studs nobody's can't miss but you gotta get close to it.

Besides the fact that I believe some of these draft picks from 2024 are going to hit next year.....

What's the point of trying to make a point in which you have no control over the narrative literally teams do not tank on purpose they just usually that bad you organically finish how you finish and fans are ridiculous if they're hoping for either playoffs or a 4 win team and so you can like challenge for the top of the draft that's just not how it works because that's not how coaches owners and players think..

Therefore it's futile to be talking like this we are not going into Game 7 thinking about tanking or hoping for the worst that is not what most normal fans who have not hit their head and got a concussion at home, think..

You're thinking about the draft right now I think you have spent too much time Around VOC fumes... Stop painting without ventilation..lol

It's a must lose if you actually want a shot at the team getting better.

If you want Jerry to think he's on the right track and just a player or two away, then sure, win the game.

If you want Jerry to be embarssed enough to actually try and maybe dumb luck his way into a real contender then they need to lose every single game for the next couple of years.
Jerry embarrassed? Never gonna happen. Not ever.

Which is getting close to all of them.

This, because we really don’t need a QB and if we pick higher in draft, like you said can turn that into more picks (team needs a lot). Listen not rooting for them to lose but if they do not going to do like when I was a kid (when my teams lost) and cry and get mad or like some do throw the remote and smash it to pieces.

Well I made it to the Admirals Club in LAX. It’s 1115am here. Thank goodness for wheel chair service.
My ANZ flight leaves at 915pm so at least I’ve got complimentary food and drinks for the next 8 hours before I get my wheelchair ride to the international terminal.
Really hope I can find a good streaming service to watch the game from NZ.
Anyone know any that work?

If we can't win this game without Terry Mclaurin and Deebo Samuels on offense given we are sore handed on defense but what exactly are they rolling out for receivers is Noah Brown even playing I mean is he is he going to be upgraded but this will be sad if the Cowboys at home lose to a team that's going to be rolling out their 3rd or 4th wide receivers....

They gonna probably have about 14 Rpos about six design straight runs for the quarterback and use their dynamic running back to just run all day on us they don't need a top receiver.. LOL

The good news is you don't have to root for them to lose. They will do it organically.

It looks like their QB4 is their QB1 and their RB2 is RB1 this week due to injuries, so if the defense was ever going to pretend to be an NFL unit, this is the week.

Their TE1 is also questionable
