Here’s the words from one of our biggest Jethro fans who apparently believes he is still good for Cowboys football .

“ It’s not time for Jerry to go because we’re not going 3-13. The organization hasn’t hit rock bottom ..”

Only to the extent that he signed off. Consider this - When GM Pat Williams had an opportunity to acquire Halll-of-Fame basketball legend Julius Erving the owner who signed off on the deal Fitz Dixon first asked this of his GM:

    "Who is Julius Erving?"

Signing off on the GM s decisions and being actively part of them is not one and the same.

It's this generation ofans the Joneses he really screwed but really the screwing began three decades ago when Jerrah drove Jimmy outa and decided he could do just as well, something he is still trying- and failing - to prove thirty years later.

Anyone who didn’t know who Julius Erving was doesn’t follow basketball or sports. Jerry followed football and played college football. I wouldn’t be lumping Jerry in with Dixon.

Full credit. He's the GM, he gets credit for all of it. If he hired the right coaches now and got out of the way, full credit.

He does not put his time into it and has stated as such.

Not once have I ever heard him state or seen a quote where he doesn’t put the time into it. That’s BS!

He stated that he does not take the time to watch tape of possible draftees.

Hey, I'm not the one into the silly exclamations. That's for the other posters who are not here to discuss.

Watching the tape is for his coaches and personnel people. Jerry wears a lot of hats and has a lot on his plate but he puts a lot of time into being a GM because that’s what he does 365 days a year.

Man, you have not been paying attention. Jerry is not a dedicated GM and everyone knows it. He gets to insert his bad input merely because he owns the team, he is not good at it and has not earned it. Your idea of Jerry and his ways is purely incorrect.

You sound like a typical armchair fan. Some of you think you’ve got it all figured out. Lol

Signing the Ten Toe Mediocre Sloth formally known as Dak Prescot to that outrageous contract that he will never be able to live up to, not with his extra small shoulders. JJ and Co thought they were getting a stud with huge shoulders to carry this team and all they got for their $160 million was fool's gold!

No, he does not put all his time into being GM. He plays the GM role when it serves his purpose.

Nope...This was the worst day in Dallas Cowboys History...
Jimmy Johnson is fired by Jerry Jones on March 29, 1994. Limp wrist handshake and I am out!

Jimmy wasn’t fired he and Jerry mutually agreed to part ways. Refer to the video in this thread if you can find it.
