Didn't watch a lot of episodes during first run. A some of the time.

Looked forward to the movies. They were horrible.

They even poke fun at "I want to believe" poster in new series trailer.

I think this could be better series now than it was during first run. Technology advances, etc.

its all about the writing. Carter thinking he has to break them up to make it interesting is NOT a good sign. Sounds lazy and unmotivated to me.

Luved "X-Files".

Watched episode 1 when it originally aired and watched all of them thereafter. Friday night... Sunday night... Didn't matter when it was on.

Then use to visit a CompuServe forum dedicated to the show where everyone would hash over the past episode.

Same here. My most prized DVDs are my full collection of X-Files seasonal sets as they were released. I've heard they are bringing back the Lone Gunmen also.

They could bring Mulder and Scully back as Claymation characters and I'd be thrilled. :)

LOL...........

I'm actually rewatching the old X-Files series on Chiller. Hadn't seen them in years and I have to say that while some of it is dated, I am actually really enjoying them all over again. Some of them were just OK but still some pretty good writing in that series.

Yes, for the most part the writing was way above average.. a few stinkers here & there, but overall very good. I thought the first 3 seasons were the best, with great episodes coming fewer and fewer as the series progressed, but when you're doing 22 episodes a season, things are bound to get a little stale.

I enjoyed the "MOTW" monster-of-the-week episodes a little more, because I couldn't always clearly follow the "Aliens are among us" arc from beginning to end... there were just so many strands to that concept.

One of the creepiest shows I ever seen on TV was the X-Files episode HOME.

Great episode. Easily in my top-10 for the series.

The mother with no legs, on the roller-dolly, and her sons supposedly each taking a "turn" with her in order to extend the line. LOL! Gruesome stuff indeed!

I am not sure what my favorite episode was. I guess the 3rd Seasons's episode with Jesse Ventura and Alex Trebek, "Jose Chung's - From Outerspace". Lots of funny scenes in that one. "Roswell, Roswell!"

Jose Chung and Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose are my two favorite episodes. Peter Boyle was just genius as Clyde Bruckman.

Yep, pretty funny as well. Clyde Bruckman, insurance salesman who could see a person's future (or death). That was weird because it was kinda dark but also pretty funny. I liked that one as well.

Mulder had some terrific one-liners over the years, his character had a great dry-sense of humor.

Here's a great line I remember that wasn't attributable to Mulder or Scully...

"SAY IT!"

You know I feel like sometimes they should not bring things back because it isn't going to be the same. I almost wish it wouldn't have Mulder and Scully and instead have a new story that very roughly intertwined with the original, but I know I am in the waay minority on this one.
