A bit strong, innit?

There actually may be some merit to what the OP was saying; he was talking about in the huddle, not on the sideline, afterall. And likely he was talking about those do or die moments where a receiver like Dez is supposed to campaign for the ball. And Weeden is a guy just looking to change the narrative on his career...so he really doesn't need any help trying to decide where to look first...the playmakers make football easy. So perhaps the only one who should be embarrassed, is the guy attacking this thread whilst hiding behind a monitor.

This is a forum message board. We all use computers to communicate with each other. I'm not sure what I am hiding from or how I should unhide. I'm open to suggestions.

Having said that no this isn't a bit strong. The OP's premise is fundamentally flawed and not based in reality. I don't see Dez complaining and begging for the ball and making demands. In fact we have direct evidence to the contrary.

If the OP would like to provide evidence of Dez doing these things. By all means. Until then i'll continue to not believe him based on what is widely known today.

Cool with you?

My PC kept breaking down on me so I had to go outside the box.
I had to get proactive so I called Pierce Brosnan. He's had some interesting alternatives to this kind of problem.
Sure enough- he knew exactly what to do...

I no longer use a computer, my brother.

I'm now requesting the mods make a designation to my new, true online existence:
I am Lawnmowerman.
Minus the, you know... "challenges" Jeff Fahey had.

So we have to take assumption as fact now? When have we heard Dez berate and be belligerent to get the Ball? I recall everyone rushing to that assumption in the Detroit game a couple years ago and then had to back off when the audio was revealed.

If Weeden is that mentally weak to be persuaded to lock in on a receiver because the receiver asked for the ball, he isnt fit to be an NFL backup. He is being coached to go through a progression not get bullied by one guy where he cant perform.

The OP created a reality from assumption, put some cream cheese icing and a candle on it under the tone of - look, I served it up as a profound view. There is no nuance here, just a veiled attack at Dez and false pretense hope for Weeden

Feel free to sight your opinion...that is what this forum is for. I merely thought it was bit rude to suggest the OP should feel embarrassed for his opinion. That was not cool to me.

See the difference?

Take it easy. Tap the breaks. I honestly think the intent here was not to attack Dez, but to suggest that this might be a good thing with Romo also on the sideline. Personally, I'm of the opinion that it won't matter much because I don't think Weeden can carry this team, which may become necessary without the presence of a viable run game. So far we have seen good enough for Romo, but I'm not sure it will be good enough for Weeden. But I can still see the point the OP was making and, again, I'm fairly certain Erod doesn't have an ulterior motive attempting to cheer people up.

So making up a unfounded assertion about twisting to a "fact or given" is acceptable now? Then spinning it that the player's injury, given his diva nature (i.e. emotional immature and lack of control), really is a blessing in disguise? And I should tap my brakes? interesting.

No, I will expect that these players are team first until shown definitively otherwise. I expect any marginal QB would follow the coaching progression and lead. If not, the organization failed in keeping him. This "poignant point" resolves into every NFL coach wondering if they have to bench the star WR if the starting QB goes down because the back-up is too fragile. I think every NFL coach would be a version of this:
