well i figure with the new head coach that worked trades and cut players that was with the jets last year.

He might release or trade Corey Williams, Shaun Rogers, Donte Stallworth or Jamal Lewis, I am not interested in Stallworth or Lewis, but shaun rogers interests me. I am not familar with corey williams, dont think he did too much last year, Williams that is.

Shaun Rogers has already said on numerous occasions since Mangini got there that they can keep their money he wants out. He "feels disrespected" because no ones made an effort to talk to him. I think he's afraid he might actually have to practice and not take plays off, but hey thats just me. Doubt they try to move him.

Joe Thomas certainly is.

I wouldn't mind having Shaun Rogers, but he was - by far - their best defensive player last year and one of the top 3-5 DTs in the game (last season) so I doubt they'll let him go.

Joe Thomas is going to get his, that's not even a question.

Corey Williams was traded for a year ago.... and cost them a 2nd rounder. I'd think they'd keep him.

And Rogers... from a talent perspective, they'd keep him.

why, so he can whine and complain less than a yr after he gets his way, like he does everywhere else?

or worse, gets more dough and eats himself out of the league? If Roy was a biscuit short of being a LB, this guys a Big Mac or two short of being an elephant without tusks

no thanks...he takes too many plays off...doesnt work hard, is almost never in shape and we already have a player 10x better than he is anyway at NT

That player you speak of was on the same team that gave up back to back 70+ yards rushing TDs that gave us one of our most popular losses last season.

Excuse me if I'm not a Ratliff believer.

Shaun Rogers, Joe Thomas and Corey Williams are going nowhere. Thomas they won't even consider a trade for, Williams they would and depending on how bad the internal situation is with Rogers might. They gave up 2 second rounder for Williams and Rogers last year and gave them each some decent guaranteed money.

If Rogers is available teams would clamour for his services, 3-4 or 4-3.

If Rodgers is released.....

Then I would try to sign him.....just because we need a big body at NT and he would fit right in.....He doesnt need to be a NT that penetrates the line but a NT that eats up blockers as a run defender. He could basically become a 2 down player.....

Of course....he would have to sign a very friendly contract....

I'ma gue Ratliff fan but I think as successful he was last year at NT he would be devastating at DE. I know if we got Rogers he'd have to go to DE and we just signed Olshansky but remember Spears is in his last year contractually and at Olshanskys price this would be 1 of the better 3-4 o-lines in the league from starters to depth. Rogers would not be cheap at all. I'd want him but he won't be available. Jenkins played for the Jets at the same weight Rogers is at now.

Teams would line up for Rogers. He would not be released, they would trade him. Rogers would not be making any less than his current contract and wouldn't have to give anyone a friendly contract. You would have to pay to get this guy.

I would not pay very much, Rogers takes plays off guys and we dont need anymore players like that after our house cleaning.

Seriously, Rogers is a big, physical NT with a sever attitude problem. In Detroit he had to come out for a blow every other play on defense and when they left him in the game he would go hard for a couple of plays and then loaf, basically just stand there on the line.

In Clevland he has complained that he has been disrespected becasue not enough players talk to him.

What the hell???.........this isnt a freaking social club, its the NFL and he needs to shut up and play EVERY DOWN.

Stay Away.................my .02

My head still hurts from when we passed on him twice in 2001.

Don't think a fat *** like him fits in Wade's scheme though.

He would use him just like he did with Jamal Williams. The big NTs can make the 3-4 dominant, Wade's system can make do with the smaller quicker types but it isn't ideal.

I know you like to exhaggerate to try and make your point, but this is ridiculous.

Shaun Rogers is one of teh best in the game. No way in hell is Ratliff "10X" better than him.

Well he had one in SD that was pretty good (Jamal Williams).
