These last 3 games should be used to audition Whitecotton as the DC

There's just no reason why Eberflus is still the coordinator here. It's a disgrace that he wasn't fired Monday morning.

You're not going to save the season. That ship has sailed. What you can do though is give a look at your heralded DL Coach for a few weeks to finish the season before deciding who the next DC will be.

To not use these last 3 games accordingly is just more front office mismanagement.

I'd say head coach mismanagement but we know that's not the case here. He's just along for the ride.

To expect anything logical and planned from this FO is crazy

No, would like to see a complete firing of the entire caching staff. No hold-overs please.

Our defensive line has been average to poor all year. Why the love for Whitecotton? Just because he was with Q in NY under Saleh?

I don’t have a particular bone to pick with him. Jerry hasn’t given him the players he needs, but I just haven’t seen anything that makes me believe he should run the entire defense.

Now that the season is pretty much shot, our DC will probably get aggressive on defense now these last three games

There's plenty reason why Uberfluke is here next season — continuity. Jerry eluded to as much.

This organization is not known to use games to evaluate anything beyond the players who give us the best chance to win, regardless of circumstances.

I'm not advocating for any of this but it's how Jerry and Co. roll.

I want to give him some excuse:
1. Jerry
2. He doesn't have the players
3. Jerry
4. Jerry
So I'd probably keep him 10 years; that seems to be the norm.

The real disgrace is that he wasn't fired back in September when it was obvious he wasn't going to work out.

Instead, they tanked the season on his shoulders.

I called it back then. He needed to be fired. Any other job fires him. Early. No waiting.

We have no idea what we have in these players because the scheme sucked so bad, you can't evaluate the players. Too many scheme failures..

Three games isn't long enough to judge a DC who presumably brings in a different system. What will end up happening is Dallas will win out against inferior talent and then the job more or less has to be his without any kind of a proper search and evaluation. Eberflus should ride his train wreck to the end and Schottenheimer should pick the next DC. Unfortunately, I think Jerry brings Eberflus back.

thats a good idea, should have been done after the detroit disaster or early in the season.
Jones boys wont do it though.

I could not agree more, what does Dallas have to lose by letting Whitecotton see what he has to offer as defensive coordinator these last 3 contests. He might know how to draw up a blitz or two. Want Al Harris as the secondary coach again though.
