The usual disclaimer: PFF rankings aren't the definitive word in everything but they are interesting.

Alan Ball 16th
Orlando Scandrick 24th
Terence Newman 28th
Brandon Carr 44th
Mo Claiborne 97th

:mindblown:

only the cowboys i tell ya...only the cowboys.

So I'm guessing you were all in on the ball bandwagon.

And were also one of the few that wanted TNEW to stay.

And wade Phillips was tearing it up in Houston too.

Alan ball totally sucked while with the Cowboys, So he is playing well now, big deal. IIRC, not one poster on this site said anything positive about him.

In the end even I was reluctantly ready to see Newman go because he either couldn't stay on the field or he was playing too hurt to play well. Ball was marginal to average. I'm happy to see him do well.

What's done is done but I would have been fine with Newman and Jenkins still here and the lines addressed like the corners were. Instead of trading up for Mo, it could have been a RT, DT or a guard
And the money spent on Carr could have been on a top-notch safety and/or more line help. I think we would be in better shape today even with Newman and Jenkins manning the corners. It all starts in the trenches

Not saying getting Carr and Mo was horrible but just posing a what if.......................

I did.. and i never thought he "sucked" when he was with us. I saw the ability there, just never seemed to be able to put it all together. Could have something to do with the "Campo Coaching" or could just be a guy who took a bit longer to put everything together and catch up to the speed of the pro game.

Good for him though.. wish we had held onto him a bit longer.

You may have, I guess I didn't see your posts about him.

All I remember is in every game not one poster said anything remotely positive about him and wanted he benched or gone, including me. Ball was simply horrible with the Boys.

Figuring out their CB grades is almost impossible.

How Vontae Davis is #7 overall even though he's allowed the most TDs in the NFL is a mystery.

I'm one of those who wishes all the Cowboys players do well, every one of them, even few I didn't or don't care for but I was so angry at Ball for missing assignments and giving up so many completions, I simply wanted him off the field.

I guess he is playing well now, so good on him.

pff cornerback ratings have absolutely no value. They don't even use coach's film. They're useless.

Way to represent MO! You're really giving us fans something to hang our hats on, I mean at least you're not last right?

Though I honestly don't think it has anything to do with the players, I think it's more of the scheme/coaching not putting players in the best position to succeed. You can't tell me that if we had Ball or Newman still that they'd still be ranked 16th and 28th.
