I am just one person in a sea of Cowboys fans. I’d like to think I am a pretty level headed guy and I try not to get too high or too low after a win or a loss. My life goes on the same regardless, although after last night’s pathetic showing, I am as frustrated as anyone here.

There have been several divisive issues here over the years: Dez, Witten, Romo, Dak, Tank, Zeke, Garrett. The list is too long to mention here. But suffice it to say, that some of these issues end up with one side eventually being way heavier than the other as the sample size increases.

Last nights game really pissed me off. Maybe it’s because you could see it coming from a mile away. Over the last 20 plus years we see a common theme as Cowboys fans, in years when we have plenty of talent, our team fails to show up and perform. For the life of me, I can’t explain why.

Having said that, much like the Garrett issue, one side became a little bit heavier than the other last night. I’m as big of a Dak fan as anyone here, and I’m not ready to give up on him yet, and I still think he is good enough to win a SB given the right coaching and supporting cast. But he is not worth $40M cap hit he eats up.

The Dak train lost a TON of supporters last night. I am looking around me and the Dak bandwagon has a lot less people on it, for various reasons.

I think that this loss will be an eye opener for the Cowboys organization. I think you will see McClay do some self scouting. I don’t know what will become of it.

Dak, Zeke, CeeDee, Tank, the entire OL, the entire DL, Cooper, all underperformed during showtime last night. The leadership is going to have to evaluate players and their cap hit.

Maybe when you think you're seeing great talent not performing every year you might begin to consider it isn't actually great talent?

Nothing changed for me. I actually bet San Fran and the points because I've seen this act too many times. Surprise, surprise, it happened again.

The talent isn't as good as people, including Jerry, want to believe. Dallas went 1-4 versus teams with 10 or more wins. They beat up weak teams.

I’ve seen less talent perform better, and I’m not seeing things. Lol

This better or best talent idea has puzzled me for a long time because they keep losing to ‘’less talented teams’.

None of the players making bank are particularly earning it. Martin is the only possible exception but how much can a RG help us when everyone else sucks.

I will concede that they do have talent. The issue is football IQ.

I have stated this several times over the last few weeks since the Arizona debacle, but you stated it so eloquently. They have stolen the fun of watching the Cowboys moving forward, let me explain. If the Cowboys go 17-0 next season I will not be able to get excited knowing damn well we don’t win big games. I would be going into that first playoff game with absolutely no confidence! How can I enjoy that!

Obviously, that is one conclusion that a reasonable person might infer.

Every year we hear how much talent the Cowboys have and every year the talent underachieves. In 2007 they had 13 Pro Bowlers. The Packers and Giants who met in the NFC title game that season didn’t combine for that many Pro Bowlers. The players/team never seem to be on a mission to be the best they can be. They showed against Denver earlier in the season they could care less if they embarrass themselves. They decided not to show up that day. I knew after that game they weren’t going far this season.

If the team goes 17-0 we would have already won several big games during the season. So I’d have some optimism.

    Yep

This team continues to be over hyped. We roll over lesser teams and struggle against the better teams.

And we over pay them as well. It’s not just our QB but RB, WR and DE. All under performing and over paid.

Welcome to the dysfunctionally ran organization whose owners priorities are out of whack with stated initiatives like “ interesting and relative “ or “ I built this stadium for TV” .
How about “ Super Bowl or Bust”. Lol

Coop is supposed to be our WR1. I watched Deebo on almost every play yesterday and the guy just brings it play after play. Since Day 1 Coop has been a really good WR but brings no energy, no emotion to the game. No clue what Lamb will be, but are a team with no emtion outside of a few players. We are looking for the next flag, or looking around after our 6th pre snap in the 1st qtr confused as to what to do next.

Dak bumps into his linemen, Zeke runs at these same linemen, and the rest of the team just follows along...this game did not look like our guys wanted it, and it's just another show of the last 25 years plus of Cowboys football. A couple of morons on here claim guys like me are "fake" fans because we admite other franchises, these same dudes seem to fit in with where the problems lie with our players. We know there will never be an entire redo, as Jerry was pretty clear yesterday that we have the guys here to win....blah, blah, blah...

It’s over hyped talent based on how we over pay them.

But our priorities are a little different here at the Star. Lol

The country club culture who buy into the hype and lack of discipline all contribute to this teams talent lack of success.

Is it a Coop problem or a Dak problem?

    I blame Dak.

Agree........but you realize this is a scratched record, playing the same tune........since Jimmy was fired? The franchise is as lost as someone reading a map upside down. payday Friday.

This is the problem with a fan base that only watches their team, it's easy to convince yourself that there's a plethora of talent when you have nothing to compare it to.
