We can all argue about what we think is wrong and we do it alot because we want them to get better. We even state what we think will happen during the course of the year. Sometimes we are wrong and sometimes not. This team IMO is an enigma at times. I am not sure how they will play tomorrow night. I truely have no idea. I think they could get smoked but then I think we may beat them. It all depends on which team shows up. Up until the Falcons game I wasnt sure about this team at all and didnt think they would do anything all year....My thoughts are recorded on the issue already. Here are some things I like about this team NOW. I FINALLLY HAVE SOME HOPE ABOUT THESE GUYS...

Jenkins---he is starting to jump routes with regularity and last week they avoided him! You have to love that. Thats helping us alot right now. If Newman and Scandrick can play to their potential teams are going to have problems going forward.

Austin - This guy is looking very good and he followed up the first two games with a solid one last week. If you add in those P.I.'s which would have been catches, then it would have even been a better game for him. Right now out of the young guys he and jenkins have made the most improvement, all we need is the other replacements and or guys who are getting more time to turn the corner and we are in business.

Now if Spencer, Bowen, Roy Williams, Scandrick, Carpenter and Sensabaugh keep improving Jerry is going to look like a genius! He took ALOT of risks this offseason....look at how many positions he replaced...

CB- Henry ----replacement Jenkins---playing better than henry right now

CB- Pacman- replacement Scandrick - I would say right now its a wash, pacman did play ok in coverage last year...scandrick has gotta be better in the lockerroom and off the field we know he is...now if he can take it up a notch, which i think he will, then we are in business

SS - Roy Williams, Keith Davis, Watkins - replacement Sensabaugh - no question he is better...alot better...

Kickoff---Folk - replacement Buehler - definitely better in that area, 2nd best in the league if I remember correctly.

DE - Canty - replacement IGOR ----I think right now Igor is not where Canty was but its close

ILB Thomas - replacement Brooking - definitely better off with Brooking...took some time for people to listen due to him being new but he is the leader of the defense right now...will pay dividends later...

OLB - Ellis - replacement Spencer - right now spencer is not better than Ellis as far as the passrush, I would say he is better covering people and against the run...we need him to take the next step in rushing the passer...it will go a long way in determining how far we go...

Nickel LB- Burnett - replacement Bobby C- I think we were better off with Burnett and I dont think that will change going forward...Williams is supposed to have been able to get in there but he hasnt...that was jerry's real move that hasnt paid off yet, it will next year IMO...

Backup NT - Tank - replacement Junior S....I think we are better off with Junior...Tank stunk it up last year...malcontent in the lockerroom too....

WR - T.O. replacement Austin - Austin is playing better right now than TO did all year...if it keeps up Jerry looks like a genius. Especially when he was the ONLY one who called this! when has that happened?

Backup QB - Johnson replacement Kitna...anyone has to be better than Brad Johnson was for us last year.

Thats 11 major positions...and throw in the fact that we dont know about roy williams yet...thats 12 positions that jerry took a major risk on....if half of them didnt pan out it could have been a long season...most of them are! hats off to jerry...lets hope they keep it up.....

i think the next Austin and Jenkins on this team are scandrick and spencer...they have alot of upside and I think they are about to show that...If that happens and Romo and Austin keep playing the way they are, barring injuries....we are about to really take off! we have to just stay consistent and keep doing what we have the past three games...will that happen...i dont know....do i have hope that it will....YES

It's extremely doubtful that the Eagles will 'smoke' us. Much of the success behind Philadelphia's five wins can be found in converting turnovers into touchdowns (especially in short field situations) and a big play offense--both of which Dallas will not be exploited into handing over for a blowout loss.

Olshansky is a better run stopper in the 3-4 than Canty. Upgrade.

Pass rushing is only one of the skills which a good outside linebacker needs in a 3-4 defense. Even.

Some were (very) apprehensive after February about the wide receiver corps. Others were not. Even.

Some of the changes may seem like high risk chances for some, but not for others. I do give kudos to Jerry Jones for making them though because he could have continued the status quo. That would have been a mistake in my opinion.

Well what i meant was you didnt know if austin, scandrick, jenkins, spencer, etc.etc.etc would improve....we were rolling the dice on them...we rolled the dice on alot of impact positions at one time....most gm's would not have that much turnover all at the same time on a team that had as many wins as we had....usually that happens on 6 win teams...i think jerry may have had no choice after looking at his financial situation....

I think Carp is playing better than Burnett was last year. You just aren't seeing a lot of passes given up by Carp. And they aren't really running on him either.

I'm greatly surprised but I like it.

I agree that the players seem to be playing at a higher level since the game in KC,but I want to see how this team responds to the hostile enviroments they will encounter in Philly and Green Bay.If these guys can come through the next two games feeling good about themselves while avoiding any major injuries they may have a chance to surprise some people.

Who are you, and what have you done with STSINAZ?

same guy....most fans lean one way or the other all the time....i dont...i lean the way the team is leaning...if there isnt alot of hope i keep it real...if there is i keep it real that way....but one thing is for sure and maybe you dont realize it because you take me pointing out the truth as negativity, i always root for my team...every sunday....i think sometimes and dont get me wrong you have some good posts...you appear to me as someone who has homer glasses on so no matter what happens you always stay positive about it...when you do that you arent looking at everything as it is ....that is your right dont get me wrong but in reality those of us who choose to call it like it is can see through it...

This is all fine and good, but I wasn't talking about your tone.

It was a very well thought out and presented post that wasn't all wrapped up in emotions. Oh sure, there was one all caps screaming episode, but it wasn't unreadable.

Just a real good post man.

It is without a doubt the most hated Internet habit.

It's as close to a wash as it gets, he's done some good things of late true-but here's the kicker for me:

Carpenter at least stays healthy... it might be by self-preservation on the football field- but he is much better at staying healthy than Burnett who is like paper mache.
