I'm confused by some (but not all) of the reaction here this week. A few things that shouldn't have been surprising:
1. Drew can't handle inside pressure.
2. Our O-line is not an elite unit.
3. The Eagles are very very good at bringing inside pressure.
Were any of these statements in doubt before Sunday?
4. We have a rookie starting at FS.
5. Rookies make mistakes.
Remember how nervous Bill was about starting Watkins in the first place?
6. We lost to a good team, a rival in our division, on the road.
7. Good teams exploit weaknesses (like immobile QBs and rookie FS's).
Did people really expect to go 6-0 in division? If not, which games did you expect the 'boys to lose?
8. Dallas is not yet a Super Bowl quality team.
Maybe this is surprising to some folks, but it shouldn't have been.

Now, a couple things that did surprise me:
1. TO really isn't that good a receiver.
I hope this is a result of rustiness and a new system and not the effects of age, but TO simply wasn't open in this game, even when he was 1-on-1 with an ordinary CB. Drew forced the ball to him a number of times when he was covered.
2. The Dallas front 7 isn't yet an elite unit.
I won't debate whether it's personnel or scheme. I hope it's mostly an issue of young players still improving.
3. JJ is the real deal.
Ok, it was more of a confirmation this week than a surprise, but he's continuing to run hard and effectively this year.
