Things you would like to know, but the media is too concerned about T.O. to ask?

Maybe we can all help each other with some information, because the media is only concerned about T.O. There are some things that I would like to know and some of you may be able to help me find out. I started this thread so that some of us could get to the bottom of our pressing questions. Here are mine and maybe someone has some inside info to help me out.

1. HAs Columbo fully recovered from the nerve damage in his leg to the point that he is able to do a full strength and conditioning program. And if so, how is his progress this off-season.

2. Has the off-season allowed Rivera to fully recover from this back injury?

3. KAlen Thornton and Berry-O were both out before the season, what is the update on their progress as well as what intentions do we have for what position they will play?

4. MArcus Spears, Jay Ratliff, and Pepper were all pleasant surprises last season, what do they weigh now?

5. Whats up with Henry's abdominal injury and will it have lingering effects for his off-season training.

I ask with respect that you only post questions that you would like to answered and only responses that have validity to them and not opinions. I would really like updates on these subject and Im sure some of you may have questions. Maybe we can all dig deep with some of our sources to help each other out. Thanks in advance for any help coming.

This is a pointless thread.

The silence is deafening.

There is a rift.

Parcells never wanted Owens.

This is all extraneous information nobody needs to know, nor care about.;)

Supposedly he is working his rear off in the weightroom and can play a mean game of racquetball.

I'd like to know about Burnetts progress?

What are Johnson & Pettiti weighing in at?

I agree. Where is the real inside information about the team? If I have to hear Galloway and the others go on and on about TO/Jones/Parcells, I will go out of my mind. That is a short trip too. There are plenty of interesting things to cover about any team at this time of year, but no one is covering them very well.

I'd like to know about the future of the offensive guard position:

Will Peterman contribute this season or be written off as a bust?

Does Cory Proctor have a future in Dallas?

For that matter, who are the current backup guards on the team?

How are players like Columbo, Johnson, and Rivera doing in the offseason programs?

Is Adams fully recovered from injury?

How about Singleton, Henry, Burnett, or Beariualt?

It really is sad that there is so much information that could be reported right now, but the media just has their thumbs up their *****.

I'll give it a go on status of the guys you've all cited but hope/believe answers to this questions will be resolved during vet June 2-4 minicamp:

1. Don't know if Colombo fully recovered from knee injury, but Parcells said in his 2nd PC during rookie minicamp that Colombo was working out extremely hard at VR and spending so much time there he was tied with Newman or even better then Newman--who apparently the best of the best. Parcells went on to say Colombo able compete for backup OT position but didn't say which one; Parcells seemed sound positive re Colombo.

2. Don't know how much Riveria has recovery from back problem, but Dallas media reported about 2-3 weeks before the draft that Riveria and Colombo were seen together playing racketball at VR. Also recall reading somewhere Riveria working hard at VR to get in shape/recover his strength.

3. Back in February/March Dallas media reported Thornton recovered from his knee injury but haven't seen anything else about him.

4. 3 weeks before the draft Dallas media reported that Adams was 100% recovered and ready to go in vet minicamp.

5. Haven't seen/heard anything about Spears or Johnson but did read that Ratliff fully recovered from his high ankle sprain; this from Dallas media back in Feb/March.

6. Sometime during rookie minicamp, Dallas media reported Burnett were be ready to play the first week in August.

7. Haven't seen/read anything about Henry.

8. In late March Dallas media reported Johnson working hard at VR and had bulked up to 313 pounds.

9. From Pettiti's father's comments on this board in January/February, Pettiti working hard as soon as season ended at VR & Pettiti intended to keep his weight at 325, which is where Parcells told him to be at in TC 05. Also believe Parcells said/Dallas media reporting Pettiti had really worked hard (even taking dancing lessons?) at VR and would hardily recognize the guy.

10. Have heard absolutely nothing about Peterman.

11. Parcells cited Cory Procter at his rookie minicamp PC as working really hard at VR and had gotten a lot stronger/developed physically. Seemed positve about the guy.

12. Can't recall where I heard/read it but Singleton was doing okay & should be ready to go in vet minicamp.

13. Nobody asked about Kosier, but Dallas media reported that the coaches were impressed with how fast Kosier could move (in some OL exercises?); he was faster then they expected from his film.

BTW: When I refer to Dallas media that includes DMN & DFW but could also include Spagnola or anybody else at VR.

Forgot to add that Parcells in his rookie minicamp said that PS player Jamaica Rector was pound for pound the strongest player on the team. Don't recall what caused Parcells just to come out and say this.

Followup to my earlier posting, I was just listening to the Eagleton/Eatman show on Cowboys.com. Did make a couple of points: 1) Eatman saw Riveria at VR working out hard every day including playing a lot of racketball. 2) Said Beriault was healthy to play (as was Thornton) as early as October of last year, and 3) Eatman thinks (didn't say what he based opinion on) Peterman will be lot better this year. BTW: Now I recall hearing/reading Spagnola say Peterman looked good & quick playing racketball at VR (don't know what that means however) as to what he can do on the field.

BTW: Eagleton

Yo 50cent, thanks for the theme of this thread.
Your questions were almost all of the same ones I had.
I've gotten more info in this thread then I have had since we were rumored to have wanted Terrell.
Thanks Sago for the info.
Jamaica Rector-I have heard the same things about how this guy is pound for pound the strongest. I also heard that he was playing some def. back also. I seem to remember JJ saying how they may have stumbled on to something with Rector.
Beriault-If anyone plays like a current-day Cliff Harris it would be this guy. If he is healthy we could really be improved in the secondary.
We are so deep on defense at all levels that thier is no doubt in my mind that this is the most talented team since the Jimmy Johnson days.
I'm not much for guys like Pile,Scott,Fowler or Kenyon Coleman so I would like to see guys like Beriault,Watkins,Hoyte/Parham,Kalen Thornton, and Ratliff come on and earn thier roster spots.
In short I see more upside in the young players(even though some were injured) than some of these vets. I mean if they are going to be backups anyway I would like to see the young guys bust it on sp. teams and win the roster spots.

5. Whats up with Henry's abdominal injury and will it have lingering effects for his off-season training.

I remember reading this article about how Henry had been doing some generous stuff for a football camp or something... here's the article:http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2006604240349

what's interesting is at the end of the article Henry gives his status:

He missed four games late in the season because of a pulled groin, but said he's 100 percent ready for 2006.
"Everything's fine now," Henry said. "I love my situation here. I'm playing for an elite football organization. Everything's fine now."

Here's some followup info on Jamaica Rector. In case you wondering, I'm spending lot of time sitting at my computer today cause I pulled a muscle--so today is "move very slowly and sit around day".

Anyway, listened to Parcells 2nd rookie minicamp PC and picked up more tidbits about Rector. Parcells said he told Rector last year that his greatest asset was his speed and he needed maximize it. Went on to say Rector didn't have much stamina cause he used up all his strength early; he also said Rector had good hands and was elusive. Went on to state that Rector spent whole offseason improving his strength and now Rector is pound for pound the strongest player on the Cowboys. If Rector has speed, hands & elusiveness and is strong sounds to me like a pretty good WR prospect if he can demonstrate those qualitites on the field.

Since TO, Glenn, Crayton & Green assured jobs, the 5th WR slot is up for grabs between Copper, Crowder, Rector, Tolliver (heard he made some nice catches in rookie minicamp), Hurd & 1-2 other kids. Will be a real battle there for final job. Of course a few of them probably go to PS.

I'd like to see us use our #5 WR slot for a developmental type guy who gets on the field occasionally for a few offensive plays instead of mostly a ST guy (#4 WR Copper last year got on the field for only 1 catch).

Thanks, but I'm just like most of you. Just want to know the other stories outside of the Bis stories. Can't believe I forgot to mention Burnett though. Glad someone picked up my slack.
