with all the dl injuries think eli will have all day to pass ball
I think cowboys lose because they will not be able to put pressure on manning

Yeah, it's hard to say. We're really decimated on the DLine. Like the OP said, Eli might have a field day. I think it'll be a shootout. If we don't get off to an early start and/or force some turnovers, I see the Giants winning.

Might as well just not show up. Really Ben bass a reserve DL guy is not going to stop you from winning a game. We knew Spencer and Dunbar won't be ready and Rat we've been without for how long? The LBs Ware, Hatch Church Carr and Mo will be just fine and have plenty of talent to match the Giants.

Minimal chance we lose. They are worse off than we are injury wise. It won't be an easy game but I will be shocked if they win handily.

Scared of the Giants offense like we didn't shut them down week 1 last year. Lol!

Two days ago we get Waters and all is hunky dorey, "we're going 12-4", "the gnats have no chance", etc

Today, we lose a backup DT in Bass and the sky is falling...give me a break

Well add to that the news Spencer isn't playing also. So that's 2 DL's down. So yes, it is somewhat different than 2 days ago.

There was a chance he wouldn't play and if he did it would be limited. Not sure how that changed.

They are starting a rookie at RT, their starting center is out and David Deil is out. We've got DL problems with depth, they've got major OL problems with injuries. I'm not worried.

it was always going to be a high scoring game anyway, dez will have at least 150 yards.

We normally don't have much of a pass rush (unfortunately) but manage to win about half of our contests with the Giants so I don't think that will be the deciding factor.

No reason we should lose to them. We get a good pass rush and contain the run and get our running game going itll be a long night for the giants.

We were (and still are) excited about Waters because of the positive impact he'll have on our season. But that has nothing to do with Game 1 against the Giants.

1. Ratliff is still gonna be out the first 6 weeks. 2. Spencer is still likely gonna miss the first few games. 3. We have absolutely no DT depth with the Bass the first month. 4. Waters isn't playing and Leary is just coming back from injury. Bottom line, we're nowhere near 100%. But neither is NY.

Long term, we have a lot to look forward to. 1. A healthy DL of Ware-Ratliff-Hatcher-Spencer in a pure pass rushing scheme. 2. A healthy LBer trio including Bruce/Lee. 3. The development of youngsters Frederick, Leary, Smith paired with a veteran in Waters resulting in a highly improving OL. 4. The beast known as Dez and a slew of other receiving threats. 5. A healthy Murray and some solid RB depth.

All that being said, we're not at 100%, and, therefore, we have legitimate reason to be concerned. But I think we can still pull off a win.
