Off the street? Who's out there? Do you go out and sign English? Or just ditch with who's on roster?
What would make this situation a little more palatable would be if Spencer was healthy enough to play.
Yes, but can we have such good luck for once?
I doubt they do anything, especially adding a vet. Contract would be guaranteed. Maybe after the first game they give a look see to someone, English. I think they just roll with what they have.
I still cant understand what they are doing with Crawford. Having him playing all over the place. In my opinion, he's our second best DL right behind Melton. He should be starting. I'd give him a chance at RDE now with Lawrence out. He's better than Mincey.
With Coleman and Bass playing well I think there is less of a need for Crawford to even be practicing inside. Let the guy focus on DE.
See if Wilson or Wilbur can give a little something on third downs until Spencer is ready.

I'd cross off Wilbur. He's not a good enough pass rusher to make any sort of difference. He had 2 sacks in well over 300 snaps at DE last season. He's simply not good enough to put out there as a pass rushing DE.
I'd say the best chance is Wilson... not much of a chance but a better one none-the-less.
From everything that I've seen Crawford has only practiced at LDE during the team period. He practiced inside in OL-DL drills, but so did everybody including DE only types like Selvie.
Wilber is practicing with DEs in some pass rush drills. He can be a DE in the Nickel even if he is the starting SLB because he won't be a LB in the Nickel.
From the video that I saw, Dartwan Bush looks better in pass rush drills than Wilson. Rayford also showed some ability.
Well, that was before Lawrence got hurt. And its only my opinion. Crawford wants to be a DE. You can hear it in his voice when they talk about it. That's where he's more comfortable. And again, in my opinion, he's much better than Mincey. So move him to RDE.
Yeah, Wilson is kinda my pet cat, but I don't think he sticks. Just not physical enough.
******, we have a $50 million CB and another one we gave up a 1 and 2 for. What else do you want?
I disagree about Wilber. And he's been getting some attention in camp for what he's been doing in pass rush drills.

Hey no harm in disagreeing. I just know from what he did last year he wasn't good.
I would say Larry English is slight upgrade. Not a lot mind you, but better.
