We've barely seen Crawford at DE in this defense. I would like to see them in a preseason game or two before forming a strong opinion.

It's more likely that Crawford would stay at LDE with Selvie moving to RDE than vise versa, IMO.

I agree. Crawford and Gardner on the Left and Selvie/Mincey on the Right.

My question is if Spencer is able to go, which it looks like he will, would you put him on the right?

I think more in terms of not moving Crawford to a position that he hasn't been practicing. Selvie has played RDE in the NFL before.

Selvie did have the best 10 yard time (1.67) of the 3 that you listed.

Those numbers were back when he weighed 250lbs. He's now up closer to 270. I'd wager that he's does not run the same numbers.

Selvie has been on the bench or the couch up until last year. Crawford is the better player, Crawford is better than Mincey.

If they moved Selvie to WDE he'd be non existent. Mark it.

Crawford is bigger stronger faster than Demarcus Lawrence too. It's not just about measurements, what you do best on the field is the ultimate determination. Crawford is a plus athlete at strong side DE or as a 3 tech DT. He does not have the burst or the bend to be a wide 9.

Take the average of those 40's. Both average a 4.7 40. The difference is in their burst not their long speed.

I really like him but his career has so far mirrored matt Johnson's including a pre draft injury.

I'd cross off Wilbur. He's not a good enough pass rusher to make any sort of difference. He had 2 sacks in well over 300 snaps at DE last season. He's simply not good enough to put out there as a pass rushing DE.

I'd say the best chance is Wilson... not much of a chance but a better one none-the-less.

Hey no harm in disagreeing. I just know from what he did last year he wasn't good.

I would say Larry English is slight upgrade. Not a lot mind you, but better.

He didn't play DE all year, they switched him to LB

Wilber has been practicing as the 1st team SLB but has also practiced pass rushing drills with DEs. Garrett/Marinelli both said that he can contribute as both spots.

He would be off the field in the Nickel as a LB; therefore, if he takes snaps at DE in the Nickel it's not taking away from his primary job.

Coples is just getting started and the Jets know it.
Changed his diet and workout regime and looks beastly.
I think he's in for a big year.

He's at 270 (275 max) now. But even that is pretty big, yes.
