PS3 is not in trouble, XBOX 360 is!! just wait and see what the PS3 has, why do you think PS3 waited for all this time? to make something worst than XBOX or something better? common sense, if i were you i will wait for PS3 100 bucs more but you dont have to pay $100 each year to play online like XBOX

The disadvantage PS3 is gonna be at due to being a year behind 360 is HUGE. The first generation games for the 360 were crap for the most part. There have been some good games, but not really at launch. And there still isn't a console headliner, like Halo... but Halo 3 will be coming (retread, but still a headliner). Not to mention Gears of War is coming this fall. That will be the new Halo.

Launch games are consistently bad. So when PS3 does come out... it's going to go through the same type of stuff. You may not see great PS3 games until 18 months after 360's launch. By then 360 will be putting out great game after great game. The PS3 may never catch up.

I have a lot of concerns about the PS3. There's still not a definite launch date. Latest I've heard is October or November, but they've been delaying it already. Oh and good luck getting one at launch. I've also heard rumors that it could cost up to $900

http://money.cnn.com/2006/02/23/commentary/game_over/column_gaming/

Given all these issues, I'm happy with my $400 360 that I've had for 7 months thank you.

It's definitely worth it, but if you can afford it, go for the $400 Premium system. The core system will cost you more in the long run.

Save your money for the PS3. It is faster, has a better graphics engine, and it's online play is second to none. The controller also isnt impossible to master like the damn tank Microsoft puts out.

It wont cost $900, and why do you think PS3 is waiting all this time? cause they are learning from XBOX 360 mistakes, and PS3 will have hardrive also, PS3 is $100 more but you dont have to pay $100 each year for playing online, if you want to check PS3 features watch this!!

PS2 > XBOX
PS3 > XBOX 360

release date is novemeber, $500 for the better PS3 that has a lot of space so you can save photos, DVD´s, music. But if you are only buying PS3 to play and save games buy the $400 PS3.

I tell ya right now, if you don't own an HDTV, it's not worth it all. Same types of games as the original Xbox, only HDTV graphics now. Same with PS3, although I'd imagine that system will be a huge improvement over the PS2 since that was probably an outdated system to begin with.

For all the folks telling you to save your money for a PS3, it's about $200 more, and the main reason to buy it is for the cheap blu-ray player. So if you're really into watching HD resolution movies, and don't intend on buying one of the thousand dollar blu-ray players that will probably be on the market near Xmas, get a PS3.

Otherwise, there's no difference between the 360 and PS3. Both have similar specs, both have similar controllers and online options, and both will have similar games with PS3 having more of a Japanese influence and 360 having more of an American influence from software companies.

don't worry about all this "this is better than that!!!" junk. it's preference not factual.

i just got a 360 premium this weekend w/amped 3. amped 3 sucks compare to amped 2, but i'll get project gothom tomorrow and then i'll have those two plus dead or alive4 and the elder scroll.

pep is very correct in that there's not a HUGE gathering of games right now. some sports games, more KILL KILL KILL halo type games but not a lot of games like mortal combat and so forth.

better graphics engine? um...ok. when i watch boxing at best buy and it looks so erie and 'tv like" i would think it's graphic engine is fine.

the trick is - see which ones have "propriatary games" - or games you can't get on any other system and compare games also. which would you rather play. look at PS2 and XBOX games now that are on both - if you can't really see much of a graphics difference there you probably won't for the PS3 / 360 also.

both are fantastic systems. see which one has some accessories you like better than the other and in the end, just get the one that seems to give you the most for the $ according to *your* tastes in what you'll want to use it for.

good luck and have fun man!

Tank?? OK obviously the original Xbox controller was huge, but the 360 is the perfect size, unless you have girls' hands;) The 360 controller is almost the same controller as the PS2, just bigger, fitting into your hands easier. There are four triggers on the top of the controller just like L1,2 and R1,2.

They're probably waiting all this time so they can lower the price, work out the system bugs, etc. One thing is certain though. Launch games are almost never great, definitely not as good as the games that will be coming out a year after launch. They're not waiting so they can have great games at launch. You can't expect to have great games at launch because the developers have to have time working with the system before they can use the system to its fullest potential.

BTW all those features you listed can be done on the 360 as well. And do you have a link with the launch date and predicted retail prices?? Just curious to read up.

LOL! So Untrue. Sony, the company that always over-promises and underdelivers. Have fun spending that $600 that will be no better than the 360.

The number of "console exclusives" will be minimal in this next generations of games. Developers are starting to see that they lose out ($$$$$) by keeping a game exclusive to one console.

I only pay $50 for xbox live for online play and it's well worth it.
Sony's free online interface...yeah, you get what you pay for.
I'm sure it won't be free for PS3. There's too much money to be made.

I'm gonna go wayyy out on a limb here and predict the Wii will be a major flop. The controller just looks ******** to me. There will be some curiosity interest at first, but usually changes like this are just a beating and get on your nerves real quick.

Oh and one of their anticipated games... A cooking game with Emeril Legasse.:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:
