It is the player's choice. Practice squad players are basically free agents. The only limit is they can't go from a practice to another practice squad unless the team releases them first.

The media implied that KC asked him to stay and Irving said he wanted to get on the field. It could be that KC just offered to pay him more to stay on the practice squad. I don't think the Cowboys guaranteed him to be active. They said the coaches made that decision after seeing him in practice.

I know it's just one game but that kid really impressed me
Seems like with Dunbar out another WR would be the biggest need
If we could find a WR who could come on week one and look like Irving I'd be a happy camper

Dmac is going to QB !!

Actually when Jerry and crew said that Dez will return after the bye, what they didn't say is that he will be the QB. His foot is not ready to play WR, but it won't be a problem at QB. They say he has the best arm on the team and is also very accurate. They say he can hit the crossbar on the goalpost from 40 yards 10 out of 10 times.

If it's Ps: Edwards Someone else PS: how about Ringo from Pack and street FA-Red Bryant (though doubtful as we would have heard about a workout by now)

I believe this forum would spontaneously combust if any real news broke of a TO return.

C Patterson is an intriguing option. Kickoff returner and a replacement for Street and Butler... and there is word of him being shopped with multiple teams interested.. hmmm...

The Latino Post has indicated that there is strong interest in Alshon. He he's only making 960k this year and the Bears want something significant in return. I'm checking my sources w the green sheet and thrifty nickel to see if there's any merit to this story.

Dunbar has not been put on IR yet, according to the NFL. I'm not sure why, but that move has yet to be made official. So that's why there has been no corresponding move to replace him.

DMAC and Whitehead role now?

This is the week to put whitehead back there returning
He has the best chance of breaking something and in a game no one gives us a chance seems like the best time to take the risk of a rookie back there and let him get his feet wet

Unless I'm mistaken, Dallas seems to be sitting on an extra roster spot at the moment.

Hardy and McClain in. Bishop, Smith, and Dunbar out.

So why cut both Bishop and Smith?

What gives? A trade? A promotion from the practice squad? The unretirement of Troy Aikman?

Something's up.

I'm not busy Sunday
I can throw a 5 yard pass pretty well lol

During the preseason it was thought that Dunbar was the odd RB out because DMac could replace him as the receiver out of the RB position---gotta think they get more mileage out of him now in that regards.

I could see Cordell Patterson or the Bears WR being discussed.....Patterson would really shore up the kick returner position, not so much in being able to run a route tree though.
