This defense makes me question Monte Kiffin

I don't blame the defense. They got 4 turnovers. Its up to the offense to capitalize on those turnovers.

They gave up 623 yards, including 80 in 40 seconds with no timeouts at the end. I don't care how many times Detroit dropped the football, how do you not blame them?

Without the turnovers this season, which always have an element of luck to them, this defense would be historic levels of awful.

They can get 1000 yards if I care. However, the defense has given the offense many chances to win the game. As a team, you have to take advantage of those turnovers. We didn't. Thats on the offense.

It's not on the whole defense, Carr got lit up, plain and simple.

It's not like he was covering a no name WR.. Everyone expected Megatron to get his yards.

Turnovers are nice but defense has to make a stop on the last drive of the game and your team has the lead. Just make stop. They had 2 chances in the final quarter with the game on the line. Failed both times. Just like against KC and Denver.

I agree. Our defense has sucked. But still, you have 4 turnovers given to the offense. Your offense needs to score on those turnovers and we failed.

Honestly, we failed during crunch time because of coaching. We should have never given the ball back to Detroit. What was Red Head thinking? If the defense hasn't stopped Detroit why give it back?

618 yards allowed. Megatron doesn't do this EVERY week. But like someone said before the boys have been torched for 400+ yards damn near every game without Megatron

Jakar hamilton and heath bell were the starting safeties on the last drive. They, including church, had just as much to do with Johnson's big game as the corners. I am sure that was not Kiffen preferred back two heading into the last drive. The corners, aka scandrick on that long ball, had to realize who was back there and still not let people behind them, they did not help the young guys out either...

lol@the defense getting the blame. We held them to SEVEN POINTS throughout 3 quarters and got 4 turnovers. Why can't the offense stay on the field? Why can't the offense utilize time consuming drives to run out the clock? When your offense constantly 3 and outs and fails to capitalize off of turnovers, this is what happens.

The offense put the defense in a position to win. Generally when the other guys have to go 80 yards in 40 seconds with no timeouts, and even at one point in that drive have a 4th and 12 and still score a TD, its on the defense. No matter how many flukey times Detroit turned the ball over.

The defense gave romo and the offense the ball back and yet the offense fails to chew up clock, but instead gets ran off the field and gives detroit a minute to do their thing. This loss isn't on the defense.

The defense also gave them 4 turnovers. Yet people like to say that yardage against our defense is important. We help them in check most of the game. Sometimes the offense has to also do their part and stay on the field and score.

The only thing the Prevent Defense does is Prevent you from winning!!

Needed more push by the D-Line today. They are starting to double hatch all the time though he was able to get a sack on a stunt.

I thought we would have Carr man on CJ and have a safety over the top. Might be good if the safety over the top has some ball skills though.

LOL at those saying its not on the D.

Who gave up the winning points?

Some here cannot blame the D no matter what and that is pretty pathetic

It's like the thought didn't even cross his head. Let's just ignore the fact that this guy is 6'5, and the best receiver in the league, and we'll just throw little Brandon Carr out there with hardly any help, and expect him not to put up ridiculous numbers.

Our safeties also seem to be non-existent unless they're hitting a guy on a screen play, as well.

Well one of our safeties was manned by a borderline special teams player and he was subbed by a practice squad player. So yes you're right. They probably would have been better suited playing Dez as FS the last series. Funny part is I said that during the game and I'm not even sure I was kidding.

Sooner or later people will realize that the defensive talent just isn't that good.

Except they werent THIS bad even without Lee and Carter. These players didnt get historically bad overnight. Coaches job is to put his team in the best position to win. Kiffin hasnt dont that all season. There's a reason USC let him go. The Pac-12 did the same thing to him.

His unit got destroyed AGAIN.

Hey, this Calvin Johnson guy is pretty good...maybe you should gameplan for him.

You have to remember the players he has to work with, The entire DL is off the streets, the backfield has names of Heath and Hamilton in it, guys who have never started a game, even Danny Mcare was playing defense....! Monte Kiffen and Big Rod has this defense playing the best it can. Your expecting a whole lot from someone who has very little to work with.

Bigger question is why the offense looks so out of sync on the road. Romo didnt throw one sharp ball all day, everything was lofted into the receivers....The defense gave the Offense chances but in the end the Offense did not help the defense win.....Bottom line....one 1st down and that game would of been over. Romo and the offense could not and did not do it...period.

Dude do you even recognize any of the players playing on the Cowboys defense......they are average at best..some below average... off the street....players trying to go out and WIN against NFL caliber teams... These coaches are coaching their butt offs,,,they got these guys playing decent defense out of nothing....Your expectations are out of sync like the Cowboys offense...LOL
