This defense makes me question Monte Kiffin

I agree. Our defense has sucked. But still, you have 4 turnovers given to the offense. Your offense needs to score on those turnovers and we failed.

Honestly, we failed during crunch time because of coaching. We should have never given the ball back to Detroit. What was Red Head thinking? If the defense hasn't stopped Detroit why give it back?

I agree that the coaches are also to blame. Garrett and Callahan had a poor gameplan and could not establish run game to protect lead. It took Dez going ballistic on sidelines for Dallas to shelve conservative play calling to get that lead. But Kiffin's failure to adjust to CJ all game long, especially in the last 2 Detroit drives was catastrophic. Triple team if necessary and force Lions to win another way.

You have to remember the players he has to work with, The entire DL is off the streets, the backfield has names of Heath and Hamilton in it, guys who have never started a game, even Danny Mcare was playing defense....! Monte Kiffen and Big Rod has this defense playing the best it can. Your expecting a whole lot from someone who has very little to work with.

Bigger question is why the offense looks so out of sync on the road. Romo didnt throw one sharp ball all day, everything was lofted into the receivers....The defense gave the Offense chances but in the end the Offense did not help the defense win.....Bottom line....one 1st down and that game would of been over. Romo and the offense could not and did not do it...period.

No excuses for grandpa. Rob diddnt get them, geezer wont either. This was a pathetic performance and he actually has decent corners.

Apparently the same Is true with the offense.

I would disagree. I think the problems on offense are largely play calling and scheme. Look around and see all the big name players like Dez who have offenses that create opportunities for them. Even on his 2nd TD he had to do most of the work himself because his route had him stopped when catching the ball.

Unfortunately, unlike the defense where coordinators are changed in and out almost every other year the team has only seen 1 offensive scheme in that past 8 years.

1 offensive scheme in the last 8 years and 1 offensive playbook. Granted Jerry seems to finally be catching on by making Callahan call plays but he's still operating under a system that is someone else's, calling someone else's plays, and if the QB sees fit to audible he simply audibles to what are like the same audibles the team has been running since Garrett arrived.

I don't know why we still tried to run the ball when Bryant had 1 on 1 coverage on 1st down? That was utterly dumb. Still don't blame Kifffen that much since CJ is unstoppable. Especially when you have a rookie safety back there. Despite being shredded, it was actually the defense that kept us in this game and winning. Not the offense.

Kiffen and Marinelli have been doing an alright job with what they have. The biggest issue is that this Dline has one player that was supposed to be a core player on it this year right now. Ratliff, Spencer, and Ware are all out. How many teams can lose 3 starters in one small area and still get anything done. Marinelli has been nothing short of a miracle worker in that we can still get some semiregular pressure out of that unit.

That being said the defense was the major problem with why we lost the game. They were bad, but lucky, for three quarters and then absolute trash for the last quarter.

Personally, I think with the injuries and lack of depth is why the defense folds like it does. We're asking Hatcher to play almost the entire game. Most of these guys are.

They gave up 623 yards, including 80 in 40 seconds with no timeouts at the end. I don't care how many times Detroit dropped the football, how do you not blame them?

Without the turnovers this season, which always have an element of luck to them, this defense would be historic levels of awful.

The defense played well enough to win this game. I could care less if they gave up 900 yards as long as at the end of the game we were still ahead. The defense made a nice stop with just over 2 minutes to play giving our offense the ball already in field goal positon. What the offense did from there was horrendous, 2 draw plays (same play) and a run up the middle. Aso keep in mind part of the reason Dez was so pissed off was the fact that Detroit had 12 players on the field before we ran our that play and Dez was screaming at Romo to hike the ball. Romo never once looked at Dez. Result of the play was penalty on Dallas and Detroit elects to decline. We could have had a free play or 3rd and 9 and who knows what happens from there. That 623 yards means nothing if the offense capitalizes on turnovers like they are supposed to.

Sooner or later people will realize that the defensive talent just isn't that good.

Team sure could have used the best CB to come out out the draft since Deion Sanders today. I can't think of a more important game for a shutdown corner.

My oh my the organization has to be wondering how the heck Claiborne has fallen to the #3 CB spot half way through his second season.

I don't blame the defense. They got 4 turnovers. Its up to the offense to capitalize on those turnovers.

Yep. It's not like Marenalli is working with the Tampa Bucs defense. Considering what he's getting out of this average defensive line, He's doing pretty good. If you get four turnovers, that's more than you can ask of a defense. They're busting their butts to get you that, and you call on them to hold up at the end of the game? They should, but, again, I didn't see a Warren Sapp a Simeon Rice or a Derrick Brooks on this defense.

Funny last week Kiffin was the MVP of the Defense and this week he should be fired. You guys are freaking funny.

Also Kiffen is dealing with more injuries than fatty had to deal with last season, yet everyone is singing his praises, not that he is with a healthy NO team.

Who only played 1 quarter of decent football? We had excellent returns by special teams, 4 turnovers and yet

Claiborne's guy hardly caught the ball if at all when he was in the game. It was Carr that got roasted all day and it was Scandrick who gave up big plays at the end.

Amazing isnt it, Romo is not known as a QB who can see the advantage and take advantage of free opportunities. I just don't understand Romo football, I never see him try to do a hard count to get the defense to jump off sides, or even try to do a QB sneek for a TD or 1st down. He has had hard time beating a blitzing team. You would never see Romo score a TD the way Mathew Stafford did today to win a game. Romo looks average unless he plays backyard football.

The defense and offense both sucked. The offense couldn't get anything going until the 4th quarter or take advantage of the turnovers the defense gave them. The defense just got abused all game. They gave up well over 600 yards of offense. How many times does that happen in the NFL? Damn few. I would love to wake up tomorrow morning and read that Jerry Jones left Jason Garrett in Detroit and told him to find a way home. I'm beginning to hate that guy. He's basically an idiot. He coaches not to lose. He's afraid of losing his job or taking any chances. He's a loser, period.

If only Jerry could tap in the the vast knowledge you have, we could win the next 5 SBs
