This defense makes me question Monte Kiffin

This defense has Sean Lee, who is playing awesome, a few veterans who are playing pretty well (guys like Hatcher and Scandrick) and then several scrubs. We've got scrubs taking over for scrubs.

This offense has a 100 million dollar QB, a future hall of fame TE, three first round draft picks, another OL who has been to several pro bowls and is playing well. And every week it looks like they're making it up as they go along. Because they are.

For arguably the first time since the mid-90s, we have an offensive line that has played consistently pretty well, sometimes very well, for more than a game or two at a time. And it's being wasted by a coach without a solid plan who is worse at clock management than my ex.

Outside of CJ's huge day, the offense gave up an average amount of yards..

Even if CJ just got around 100 yards, the total wouldn't be outrageous.

Carr got torched today. We played too much zone around Megatron and he capitalized.

The offense put the defense in a position to win. Generally when the other guys have to go 80 yards in 40 seconds with no timeouts, and even at one point in that drive have a 4th and 12 and still score a TD, its on the defense. No matter how many flukey times Detroit turned the ball over.

LOL no they didn't. The offense placed the defense in a position to lose. Why in the world did our coach give the ball back to Detroit in the first place? Just chew out the clock and its game over.

Teams are 0-28 when they give up 600++ for a reason. the defense is trash. Turnovers dont matter when you cant figure out that Calvin Johnson might be an issue after 200 recieving yards.

And we are just one of two teams that have lost with 4 turnovers. To say turnovers don't matter is being naive. Of course it matters. Usually the more turnovers you have, the more chances of winning the game. That is if you can capitalize on it which our offense failed to do.

LOL, that's a good thought. If we play 10 vs 11, we have an average defense.

Nice sarcasm, too bad you missed the point..

Everyone knew CJ was going to get his numbers, it was only a matter of how bad it would be. Even if CJ got around 100 yards, the total yards given up would not be absurd.

Game-breaking players tend to do those sort of things.

And that's one of the best WRs in the history of football being covered by small-school rookies Heath and BW Webb in the 4th quarter. Oh yeah, with about 4 guys on the DLine who a few months ago were probably just hoping to be on an NFL roster trying to generate pressure.

They played great given the circumstances. Heath was victimized by Calvin a few times but yet he still made up for it with a few big plays of his own. But of course, we should expect this patchwork defense to shut out one of the best offenses in the NFL, all while forcing 5+ turnovers.
