The 1992 season opener at Washington. Like the Eagles, the Commanders had been a great team for a while, had won the NFC East many a time, and were coming off of a SB year. They were the team we would have to beat to get back on top. We had them on MNF in the first game of the year and, while the score wasnt as dominating, we dominated the game and beat them. That game signaled the changing of the guard, from the Commanders dynasty to the Cowboys dynasty. Dallas went on to win 3 of the next 4 SBs and become maybe the best team ever, while Washington would go on to make the playoffs just twice in the next 13 years.
Hopefully, this game signaled a similar change.
