This is a passing team now?

Only the Joneses could give a power RB the biggest contact and promote a passing QB to OC and then hire a pass game HC.

Congratulations on successfully awakening from the coma you've been in since before the 2019 season started.

Honestly, if they thought they could run successfully against Tampa, they WOULD have run more than they did.
If you watch that game again, watch the Q1 and see how Bowles was setting his front 7 up. He wanted Prescott to air it out, they were not running on that D last night.

Conventional “wisdom” says Dak can’t carry Dallas against good teams, so it’s understandable that Bowles went with that strategy. If not for our kicker, that strategy was erroneous.

well, the bucs were number one in stopping the run and the middle of their defense was very stout. we got no push at all. I was surprised we didn't use the screen pass more often or didn't try to run to the edge more
True . But the run game will be needed at some stage against other teams .

I hope not. I want it to be a team that adapts to situations. The Bucs have a superb run defense, but every team won't have that. We'll meet some opponents that we'll be able to run on really well. In that case, run down their throats and pig up the time of possession. I don't blame this team for passing so much last night. The run just wasn't working. I see what they did as adapting, and that's a good thing.
Agreed . Kellen played his cards well

No running game ? What does that mean ? Dak threw 80% of the snaps . All 75% plus drop back passing percentage ended with 0-7 according to Espn . But it seems like the way the country will roll . This is a huge paradigm shift for the cowboys.

Now?? This has been a passing team for a long time now. Zeke is trending down and most runs by him just kills momentum. Plus, TB's DL was killing us and we weren't going to run. They had no real answer for our passing game. Do what works. And the run game was not working in the least.

Tampa made the Dallas O one dimensional and they Dak still put 400 on them…and Tampa has a good secondary.

what Dak did was impressive, very impressive.

We put 29 points on the reigning super bowl champs with two missed field goals and one missed extra point. We must’ve done something right.

They could have gashed the Bucs defense with some delays and draws.

Didn't you watch Vita Vea push our OLinemen (including Tyron) all the way back to Dak? Do you think we could have moved him on a run play?
And they have good LBs so it would have been hard to run on the edges also.

A few CZ regulars talk like Steven A. Smith. They treat penalties and turnovers by Tampa as fluke occurrences , like Dallas was lucky, like they should have been destroyed. But mistakes made by the Cowboys were inevitable outcomes of an inferior team of incompetent fools.

Imagine if we had Vita Vea next to a healthy Gallimore!

Let's not get carried away about passing too much. The pass was working. We were shredding them. I don't mind at all passing the ball to try and win the game. Garrett on the other hand, would have kept running it 40x despite the mismatches our receivers pose with the other team.

Zeke was Martins interior replacement. Thank him. Dak would have been dead by half time without Zeke throwing himself in the middle all game.

(Side-note: I bet he wished he had some of that weight he cut during off season to soften the blows.)

Honestly, they did think they could run the ball until they lost Zack Martin just a few days before game day. They still tried to run the ball but couldn't do it so they made an in-game adjustment to a more pass-heavy plan.

yes zeke has no burst . Kellen called a great offensive game . But the running game has to be used in the future and wonder if it is a strength anymore.
