This probably will not happen again. The cap was not present and or in its infancy stages. We already went through trading for a WR, twice. And that worked out well.

Why would they trade him? The just destroyed the steelers and have a very good pass rush...makes no sense they would subtract from an area of strength.

Salary cap and Romo's contract make it very difficult, not to mention acquiring a guy mid season who has barely taken a snap since mini camp.

That's such nonsense. Even if Jimmy did have all the power as he claims, the owner has the checkbook. No one is signed unless the owner signs the check and not even lord jimmy could make that happen if Jerry didn't want to do it. So to try and pass off that Jerry had no say on the Haley trade, the walker trade, etc is just plain nonsense. Now I would agree that Jimmy had his say on draft day and player moves within the Organization. Which is why we wasted 60% of the draft picks.. Jerry would have been smart to limit his ability in that area because he sucked at it.
