I think Garrett should be fielding these calls and making the decisions, anyhow.
Well, I think Garrett shouldn't even be on the team, so........

Zordon is a kid and he shows it big time.

If Wehad nothing but Wisconsin OL man on our team we'd have hands down the best line in the league.

Name Position Current Team
Gabe Carimi Tackle Chicago Bears
Travis Frederick Center Dallas Cowboys
Peter Konz Guard Atlanta Falcons
Jim Leonhard Safety Denver Broncos
John Moffitt Guard Seattle Seahawks
Bill Nagy Center Detroit Lions
Joe Thomas Tackle Cleveland Browns
Kraig Urbik Guard Buffalo Bills
Kevin Zeitler Guard Cincinnati Bengals

I think I heard that if he does not move to guard that he will be the biggest center in football.

He is flat out nasty, and you are right about Wisconsin OLinemen. They seem to produce the best most of the time.

We need someone who recorded the pertinent war room footage to make it available. Then we can at least have tangible evidence to argue over whether X was smiling or just burping....

Jerry never got on the phone with other teams. Stephen was the only person on the phone when we traded down. Jerry never touched it.

Well that's not true.

I saw Jerry on the phone. More than once. It was mostly Stephen on the phone, but Jerry was for sure, at times.

Maybe you blinked.

Frederick's agent had Callahan as a coach in college? "We've known each other for years." There's the connection for ya.

So was it Jerry or Callahan?

Theogt - I also watched the whole thing. The way I saw it - when they traded out of the pick, Garrett was pissed and pretty much checked out of the whole thing. Just sat there very unhappy. He only smiled when Steven was on the phone with Fredrick at 31.
My take - Garrett WAS pissed, WAS overruled by the Joneses. But, Fredrick was one of the players he did want - so smiled at that moment. Think he does like the Fredrick pickup, but was not happy about being overruled and losing Floyd. I guess time will tell as things leak out later, 2 people seeing the same thing thru differant eyes I guess.

that's what I saw and so did a lot of other people in the chat room and in the local media..

No, it will be, because Garrett, failed as a head coach.

At the time of the trade? Maybe well before, but not during that 2-3 minutes.

There was no reason for him to be on the phone since the trade terms were already established before the draft.

I watched the entire thing. It didn't happen like this at all. Garrett was smiling, shaking hands and giving thumbs up signals.

These reports are complete BS.

Your incorrect. During the trade down itself and while the phone call between Jerry/Stephen and SF were happening, JG was disillusioned and Ciskowski was visibly upset with hands in the air. Between that time and the 30th pick they were consoling Ciskowski and JG just sat there disenchanted. After they took the pick at 30, they were shaking hands but no one was jumping up and down and if they were it was because they could finally get out of the room of clowns.
If you doubt that, if you listened to the broadcast Fisher and Spagnola (who are JJ kiss ups) were describing this same activity in detail.
To the OP's point, JG was not calling any shots last might. He might have provided a little feedback hear and there but JG was not making the decisions at all. If you think JG was running or even in charge of the draft, your in deep denial.

Same way I saw it too. I did not see Garrett smile and give a thumbs up on the trade down. He may have after the fact just to please his bosses, I don't know. But, he did look visibly shaken during the process. We may never know what really transpired, but it was not all sunshine and roses either.

That said, I like the pick, just not how it transpired.

Bottom line, Frederick was a reach. He was projected in the second round at the highest, most projected him in the third round, some into the fourth.

Jerry saved some money last night by picking a Center at 31 instead of a DT or Safety at our original pick, and made the 49ers better in the process.

So, essentially, we provided the 49ers a player that made them even better than the Cowboys, and they were already better. The Cowboys did not improve at all with the Frederick pick. The gap between the Cowboys and the 49ers widened last night, thanks to the Cowboys themselves.

The Joneses are a joke and this team will remain a joke as long as they are running it. If you can't see that, you don't want to see that.

If you're happy with the Frederick pick, your a "Company Man".

Yup, that's my take as well. Is there a way someone can post first trade at 18 and after ? - not that it really matters much either way. But it would tell us Jason's clout or lack there of in the draft room.
And just so we are all clear - I like the Fredrick pick. But I would have liked Floyd at 18 a whole lot more.

I advise you go find another team because it may be a long time before the Joneses aren't running this team.

I like the pick as well but not comfortable as to how it all went down. We left a pick from SF on the table IMO.

I am sure that he is another disgusted life-long fan that is sick of the total mismanagement of the team is is pulling for. This team is going to lose a once proud fanbase if they don't get a GM. Fans are fed up with the BS.
