Move Flozell to rt so he can hear out of his good ear
Move Kosier to rg
Guarde at center
Dielman or Gandy at lg
Damion McIntosh at lt

Dielman or Gandy and Mcintosh already play on the left side and this would have the best lineman on tony's blindside.

how about?
Damion Mcintosh at left tackle
Flozell at left guard so he is closer to tony so he can hear
Kosier at right ruard
Jon Stinchcomb at right tackle

Keep plugging in names.

Eventually you will see this as what our line will be like:

LT Adams
LG Kosier
C Gurode
RG Proctor
RT McQuistan

might as well keep Fabini in the mix at RT..........

I look at what the Chargers were able to do with Stienback, we were able to do with Tui....................I love the attitude these converted Def Lineman bring to the table when converted to OL...........and most have quicker feet from the start by their nature...........

Surprized more teams dont stash 1 or2 DL to OL candidates away on Practice squad on a ongoing basis............

Its getting to be a supply and demand situtaion........and more supply needs to be added to soften the salary cap hit by the OL......

and it'd probably do just as well as last years version...maybe better....Prcctor and McQ might lack experience, but physically both are better than what was there

You are quite the optimistic fellow, aren't you?

Care to say what evidence we have, other than faith, that suggests this?

They both look strong and fit. Very good.

Now do you have anything else to justify your opinion?

Maaaan you could be so right about this. They both are young, hungry, and coachable but I'd still like to see us sign a Vet. Olinemen....

both of them looked pretty promising in preseason last yr, and that was with basically no prior exp on their sides...McQ even ended up logging alot of time vs other teams starters at LT and fared pretty well...its not unreasoable to expect him to get better between yr 1 and yr 2...more strength work, more technique work etc etc

I'm not saying the guys are the 2nd comings of John Gesek and Big E at RG and RT, but I dont think they are hopeless either

and I still think we'll end up with 3-4 new guys here through free agency and the draft...just because we didnt get them all yesterday doesnt mean we're screwed

that is what I want. Then use 3 picks on offensive lineman this april. Justin blaylock should be there when we pick and then find another guard or tackle.

It just seems like good buisness to give this a shot.

Blalock might now be our pick at 22. That would not make me happy. The draft is still a few weeks away lets see what happens.

This means you probably have an inexperienced entire side of the offensive line.

Unless McQuistan, Proctor and whomever we draft (and we will probably reach for it) is perfect, we will have issues.

It is impossible to expect everything to turn out perfectly.

You can protect one weak OL. Not an entire side.

Fabini is a prime example of why we shouldn't sign a guy just for the sake of signing someone. The guy got beat out by a player that was coming off a gimpy knee and was out of pro football completely. Wisely spent cap waster there.

That's great hindsight.

But had Flo or Columbo gotten injured early in the season, we'd have been very lucky to have a backup like Fabini. to step in He was cheap and a vet at a position that we saw the previous year sorely needed that sort of backup.
