This is JJ's team and he's screwing it up.

I don't understand something.

Back in October when Bledsoe was not playing well, people here were clamouring for Jones to step in and DEMAND that Parcells bench Drew for Tony.

Now posters are claiming that JJ is ruining things by STEPPING IN.

Which is it, is Jones wrong when he steps in or wrong when he doesn't step in?

Or, is Jones just always wrong?

Jerry's wrong no matter what he does. The superbowls belong to Jimmy and Jerry had very little to do with them in some minds.

It is January 25th; let us wait until at least pre-season to indict Jerry...

Reasons for Jerry's Super Bowls:

1.Jerry spent alot of money
2.Jerry had the balls to fire Landry
3.Jerry hired Jimmy
4.Jimmy tore the team down and built the best team of all time.
Was there anything else?

Hey, if Jerry is coaching from the sidelines, I don't care. As long as we don't have another December melt-down like we have come to experience lately.

Just get guys who get the job done. That's all we need.

If Jerry is calling the shots, the meltdown will come much much earlier than December.

What did you expect? Competence? Logic? This is Jerry we're talking about.

people seem to forget that the NFL, like any other major pro sports league, is a business. JJ is the 100% shareholder and CEO/president of the cowboys, which gives him the unadulterated right to do whatever he wants to his team without having to answer people on this board.

I seriously doubt Jones has, or ever will, call plays. However, decisions like this undermine the head coach and the players know they don't have to listen to him because the owner has all the power. Just look at the teams that sustain success over a long period of time. Teams like the Pats, Eagles, Colts and Steelers. Those are the most successful teams over the last five years. They all had a system and structure in place so even if they lose players or coaches, they continue to win. That's what the Cowboys don't have under Jones and never will. Until he's willing to step aside and let others who know what they're doing put the pieces in place that will allow this team to be successful over the long haul, they will never be a conistent winner in today's NFL. It's just that simple. If you don't believe me, just take a look at the drafts, free agent failures and winning percentage of the Dallas Cowboys over the last decade. The proof is right there.

Robert Kraft in New England is the same for the Patriots. The only difference is he makes the money and lets Pioli and Belichick run the team. Great point. In other words, you never say a bad word about Daniel Snyder, right? Just because he's rich and owns the team doesn't give him the right to run it into the ground. This is the Dallas Cowboys, not the Arizona Cardinals. If you are happy with the way Jones is running this team, than God bless you. But in my opinion, one of the greatest franchises in all of sports should have at least one playoff win every ten years.
