I wouldn't say the Cowboys didn't pressure Leftwich well. He stood in the pocket and took alot of punishment. Punishment that showed up in the 4th quarter when he started missing passes. I promise you he's sore today.newlander;2941263 said:maybe if Curtis Johnson and/or Jason Williams were healthy and contributing in the LB corps, but let's be real: we don't match up with this team right now very well. Steve Smith and their TE are going to have a field day underneath if we don't pressure Eli any better than we did Leftwich. Romo and co. can and will score but they'll have to max protect. I fully expect a short, controlled game vs. these blitz happy clowns that will hopefully run the clock and keep the ball away from Eli and that offense. But in the end... IMHO we don't have the defensive personnel to play with them right now. But....I'd love to be wrong....remember: don't kill the messenger. (34-27 Gspots to win)
MAN, timing is everything: just read about the Gspots injuries at receiver and in the secondary. Oh well.......let me have it...........................
I guarantee you next year Cowboys fans will be talking about what a mistake Jerry made with the stadium, and how it will hurt the Cowboys for decades to come. Large != loud.gUnit;2941368 said:I will be there!!!
My gut tells me that this might be the loudest NFL game in history. 115,000 people in the stadium. That's a record in it self.
Dopey face Eli Manning wont be able to check/Audible to JACK!!!
Just watch. The Cowboy crowd is going to be a big factor in this stadium also.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm on the phone right now with Tom Coughlin forfeiting the game since we are not going to win it.newlander;2941263 said:maybe if Curtis Johnson and/or Jason Williams were healthy and contributing in the LB corps, but let's be real: we don't match up with this team right now very well. I could be wrong because I've heard that Jerry has put in some measures to help focus the sound onto the field, such as overhead structures like the Seahawks have. But in general, in large stadiums sound dissipates. One man screaming in a closet is much louder than 100,000 in a stadium. Skins fans know that all too well with FedEx field.Chocolate Lab;2941683 said:I'm going to kick myself, but... Why do you say that?

We'll see if that's true, but when you have so many people, you can't just stack them one on top of the other. Then again, the Seahawks stadium holds 70,000 which is larger than I thought.superpunk;2941690 said:Don't go off the god awful FedEx box to base this off. When Jones was having it designed they used aspects from notably loud stadiums like Seattle, IIRC, moving people overtop of the action. In addition, they can close the roof and the sound bounces around even more.
In Fedex, it is an open box - MOST of the fans are about a mile away from the action, and the jumbotron situation sucks, so most of the fans can not only not see the action on the field, they can barely tell what's going on on the jumbotron. It's probably the worst designed stadium in football - no aesthetic or real feel to it, it was just designed to be enormous. Jerry didn't make that mistake.
!= is the best/standard way to say "does not equal" on the net.BraveHeartFan;2941696 said:Wha....Why in the world would anyone think playing in a loud stadium is a bad thing for a home team? We're going to be pissed cause the crowd gets loud when the other team is on offense?
Maybe this would a problem in places like Oakland or Arizona where the stadium is half, or more than half, full with the opposing teams fans but we don't, and won't, have that problem in Dallas.
