This is the kind of draft Jerry used to have back in the 90s

Remember those drafts? The ones where we did nothing but pick backups because Jerry said he didn't feel like we had any holes on the team and just needed to "add depth".

I've never seen a 9-7, non-playoff team that had no holes, but apparently that's what we are, because this team has not added one impact player in the draft. We got two linebackers who at best are going to back up the THREE linebackers ahead of them on the depth chart.

We got a raw tackle who is going to be moved inside to back up Kyle Kosier, who in a perfect world would be a backup to a better player.

Meanwhile, everyone else in our division added impact players.

This is exactly the kind of draft that led to those horrible years we had in the late 90s and early 21st century.

Name me ONE player that we passed on that would start for this team? Just one.

What "impact" players were available when we drafted that we passed on? We traded our first for an impact wide receiver.

It's a shame when ignored posters get quoted... Maybe future software can correct that.

You're late to the party. Many of us have said this numerous times since about 11:00 Am today!

Andy Levitre, Phil Loadholt, William Moore, Paul Kruger, William Beatty, Rashard Johnson, Max Unger (move up two friggin spots) are all guys off the top of my head, without even looking at draft lists, that we could have had that could have either had an impact this year, or be groomed to start in 2010.

Why does everyone act like we don't have holes and couldn't have found anyone to crack the lineup, yet the Giants and Eagles, who are both better teams, each got 3-4 guys who will make significant contributions this year. Look at their draft list and look at ours and tell me which team you think knows what the hell they're doing.

Not one of those guys would of started this year, next and very likely the year after except Rashard Johnson and guess what...........THATS THE SAME FREAKING TIME FRAME WE ARE LOOKING AT WITH THE PLAYERS WE DRAFTED!!!!!!!!!!!

Started is such a broad term. Felix Jones didn't "start" but he made a significant contribution to the offense when he played. Could these players, either through an injury or just breaking into the rotation, have made a significant contribution this year? Hell yes. Could they be starters in 2010? Hell yes. These aren't projects. These are good players who could use a little grooming, but I'd feel comfortable with any of those guys stepping in this year.

I don't know if you can say the same about anyone we picked. We'll be lucky if one of them sees the field this year. This is a typical late 90's Jerry draft of a bunch of no names that never turn into anything.

They are a bunch of names to who? The guy working the day job not getting paid to make these choices or the ones who's job it is to make these decisions.

I swear some of you just don't like a guy because he was not on ESPN highlights at least once a year or failed to hear his name called on CBS some Saturday afternoon.

ESPN and NFLN don't agree with you.

Oh, that's a great argument. Jerry is only "paid to make these decisions" because he owns the damn team. It doesn't make him any smarter than you or I. Even if you like the players, they were mostly all reaches. It's bad any way you slice it.

None of the guys you named are felix jones. None would contribute in the slightest next year.

None of us know for sure who would and wouldn't. I know the guys I named have a better chance of contributing than the guys we took. I know you would agree, regardless of what you say now after the fact. We passed on better players than we ended up with. That's the point here.

Your not getting paid to spew your opinion out that the players that have been selected so far will turn out to be better then the players that were passed over. Are you old enough to remember those drafts when the Cowboys did the exact same things they are doing today? If so, were you blindly saying how great a draft it might have been and any players they passed over wouldnt make an impact? You talk like the Cowboys without Bill Parcells are excellent drafters. Being realistic and objective and critical at times is beng more of a fan then those (you) who bindly accept whatever this team does and acts like just because they pick a player that they will be better then anyone who was passed over. You saying you doubt any of the players not drafted would make an impact is being hypocritical because you act like your getting paid and know those players passed over would make less of an impact then the ones taken.

Truth is we wont know how these players work out for a few years, but if its anything like those drafts from the mid 90's and late 90's until Parcells was here, then this team is going to continue not making any impact in the playoffs, if they even get that far.

I would grade this draft an F. Brutal. Typical Jerry trying to outsmart himself with all these dumb trades.

Thank you.

You have to look at this draft and ask yourself if this team really got any better today. Then look at the Giants and Eagles drafts and ask yourself if they got better today. The answers are clear.
