Just LOOK at these numbers!!!!!
I CAN'T BELIEVE this guy isn't starting for an NFL team yet!!!!!

In 2006, here are his numbers for games where he carried the ball 8 or more times:
8 ATT 39 YARDS 4.9 AVG 1 TD
9 ATT 55 YARDS 6.1 AVG 1 TD
10 ATT 57 YARDS 5.7 AVG 1 TD
9 ATT 49 YARDS 5.4 AVG 2 TD
13 ATT 65 YARDS 5.0 AVG 1 TD
9 ATT 35 YARDS 3.9 AVG 2 TD
16 ATT 83 YARDS 5.2 AVG 0 TD, 2 REC 2 TD
12 ATT 76 YARDS 6.3 AVG 2 TD
11 ATT 69 YARDS 6.3 AVG 2 TD
Only 24 years old with 2 years experience in the league!!!
He's perfect!!!!!

He's Marion Barber III.

Sorry the guy is a solid rb and productive but so was hambrick as a backup

But Barber is a slow ploder and is good as a 1-2 punch I just do not see him as a feature rb

I also want to make it clear I do not hate barber I like him as are 3rd down back and a change of pace guy he is tough and runs hard. Like I said I like him as a 1-2 punch rb. Very solid RB we could do worse

Most of that occured in the 4th qtr when the def was wore out by JJ!
The defense may have been tired, but it was not due to Jones. I like Jones, I want to keep him, but I would never say he wore teams down. He will never be looked at as a physical back.

You can't possibly begin to compare Hambrick's numbers to Barber's. In his 3 years as a backup he only had 70% of the carries Barber had in 2 years. In 2002, the year before he became the starter the most he had was 10 carries in a single game. He averaged about 5 carries a game that season. Barber has managed to sustain better numbers over many many more carries. The Hambrick comparison is just stupid.

Funny how for our "plodding" back almost had exactly as many 20+ yard runs as our "homerun" back in half as many carries.

As "The Genius" said about Emmitt ... "All the draft experts said he was too slow, but everytime I put on the film he was making big runs."

Ya, It does get pretty tiring running all the way into the backfield to find the RB already on his bum.

These are the running backs Dallas needs.
472 attempts(ranked 13th)
1936 yards(ranked 13th)
4.10 YPC(ranked 15th)
21 TDs(ranked 3rd)

It would really help if the O-line was better. That makes all the backs better and more effective.

:lmao: I would have to say he's a little more versatile than HamBRICK... But I agree Marion Barber III isn't the guy you want to focus your running game around...

Well, ya know Barber was a third down back, and I thought third downs occurred in every quarter, not just the fourth.

Thanks for the edumuhcation.

How many of those 20+ yard runs came on 3rd and 54? That is a very misleading stat when comparing julius and marion
