I know everyone (including me) are trying to figure out our options at T. But I would not be surprised if we stay with what we have. an average coach might have serious problems but I think BP will be able to get the best out of Tucker.

A coach knows that these things happen and you have to prepare for them. BP did say they are looking outside for options at LT and not rulling out Rob moving back to LT but then we are right back where we started looking for a RT.

If this is the only serious injury we have this year I will be very pleased.

If our coaches can have Rob playing this well then I have all confidence in them having Tucker ready next game. This is one of the Reasons we got BP IMHO.....

It could be a lot worse we could be Jets fans..... I hate teams losing key players to injury but that's part of the game.....

EDIT: Adams while I hope he gets well soon wasn't playing that well IMHO he was having a lot of mental mistakes and got beat quite a few times off the edge.

Dude...no offense, but we are talking Tucker here. He is a penalty waiting to happen. He was bad at RT...now with speed rushers on the left side...we are in for pain if we do not move LA there.

This is what it is and now Dallas will have to deal with it, we either try to pull off a trade before tomorrows deadling or Tucker is going to do the job. As for Larry he is not going to do much aginst outside speed rushers and in the meantime that move weakens both the tackle and the gaurd spot.

We are in for pain if we do move LA there. There is no way he can handle LT anymore, then we weaken our whole left side, plus a rookie RT.....

Keep LA where he is, pray Tucker can cut it, or hope Verba wants to give it a try.

That's the issue...you guys can pray for Tucker because trust me...that's what it will take. I have ZERO faith in Tucker...none. If I had the slightest bit I'd agree. I will not disagree the LA has lost LOTS of mobility, but with Tucker at LT we will be off-sides ever other play, not to mention getting beat.

That's just me...I understand what you are saying. I just don't think Tucker can handle it...

I hear ya. I'd almost be tempted to put Dan Campbell there. I'd at least make sure and cover Tucker up with Campbell on every pass play. So much for Petitti getting the baby treatment. That boy better grow up in a hurry.

I'm sorry but Flozell looked like a rookie yesterday. Tucker played much better in relief duty. Is it really a stretch to think he can continue the trend?

There's not a team in the league that isn't dealing with injuries--or soon will be. Remember Carolina last year? Griese is now out for TB with a torn ACL. The Pats have been decimated by injuries. It's life. Parcells has handled this for years. We'll survive. I'm sorry about Flozell, but we're not going to concede every game for the rest of the year. We may even manage to win one or two more. Tucker will step up to the plate or face the wrath of Parcells & someone else will take over.

It always interests me how the players we cut/trade/get injured all of a sudden become game-changing once-in-a-lifetime players who we can't possibly lose without major disruption to the team.

And Flo wasn't?

Seriously, did the line's level of play drop off THAT dramatically when Tucker came in basically cold yesterday?

We did still manage to drive for the winning score with him in there....

I agree completely. And we're gonna have even more injuries as the year progresses. It happens. Frankly, we could have heard worse news than (essentially) just this injury through the first six games. I'm concerned with Bledsoe's protection, but it happens.

Good point. Tucker may not be Flo but I think we can manage with him playing outside

I think it is a stretch. Not just Tucker. But now you have a rookie RT, Al Johnson is by no means playing well, and Tucker, who couldn't get on the field before, will be taking over the most critical spot on the OL.

I'm afraid that defensive coordinators who have a week to prepare for that will be licking their chops.

Oh yeah, and don't forget, Bledsoe of all people needs pass protection.

But maybe Tucker will susprise us all, who knows. Parcells must see something in him.

Flo certainly has not been playing well, and has made some key mistakes at bad times....BUT we will be begging for him if we decide to go with Tucker. Asking Tucker to do this full time will be a huge mistake.

I do not want to paint doom and gllom, but I am saying this is a key position for Bledsoe...if he is not protected we will be hurting.

I'll agree, this is where the coaches will earn their money.

However, you have to consider depth as well. What if Tucker or Petitti goes down? Who fills in? Noll could possibly handle RT, but I don't know that he could swing LT.

I think someone might have to be brought in for depth purposes if nothing else.

Yeah really, aside from Peterman and Noll, we have zero depth on the oline.

I agree 100% with the depth I'm just not sure we will go after a starting LT I mean if we sign someone like Verba or Terry both will want decent SB's so what does that do to next year? If we could get one for fair markett for the remainder of the year with a fair SB then I'm all for it but don't go overboard Adams will be back next year hopefully....

I can't imagine there is a free agent LT better than Tucker sitting around out there doin nothing (insert Spags line here), or that many teams have much incentive or desire to trade us a legitimate LT before tomorrow.

I think we are stuck with it, one way or the other.

As long as the Cowboys are smart, I bet they can get somebody without a big bonus.

Those guys are sitting at home right now. If they have an ounce of sense, they'll sign up for a fair deal and try to play for a bigger bonus next spring.

We need to look into some younger tackle candidates as well.

What about that Snell guy on the PS? Can he play tackle or is he a straight guard?

I know there's not....I just can't believe some think we can simply plug in Tucker and nothing changes. Play calling will be impacted.

I know it's a debate, but I personally think LA can handle LT better then Tucker...that's just me though. If Tucker starts and plays I hope i'm 100% wrong about the kid...I really do.
