Take a real honest look at the defensive roster. The time is when?
ESPN, NFLN and others are putting this all on Romo. I don't get it. He can't play defense. I get he is the QB and gets the credit and blame but let's at least acknowledge he has the worst defense in the league dragging him down.

Very true.

It's just lazy to lay it all on Romo.

It's because truth complicates the plot, making it too confusing for the audience to digest. As long as we win, the narrative is "Romo overcomes his demons." Then when we eventually do bow out, that card will be conveniently flipped. Drama in reporting trumps accuracy, because it has been found to sell more beer, trucks, and pizza.

The Eagles have a pretty good shot at six in a row next week, and they don't have any more talent than we do.

They're also behind us at by far the most important position on the field.

What good will that do us in January when a team like SF or Carolina is on the schedule?

I think we'd be fine against those teams.

If Dallas can avoid truly elite passers they can beat their opponent.

With the scheme we play and injuries we'll get carved up against an elite passer.

If we can make the playoffs and avoid New Orleans I think we could do something.

In fact I like our chances against any team that doesn't have Manning, Brady, Rivers, Breese, and Rodgers.

I doubt he survives losing the division to the Philadelphia Eagles. It's not as if their talent is superior to the Cowboys'. The Eagles have a first year head coach installing a new offensive system, and a porous defense.

Facts have no place in a discussion on religion

Wow you're really late to the National Parity League. Where mediocre to bad teams can get hot and win the Super Bowl.

He's Broken Record Risen.

I expect nothing else from him.

Dilfer pretty much just said the same thing about the Panthers that I've been saying about the Cowboys.

You can get away with these zone schemes against lesser QBs but when you face truly elite passers you will get ate up.

Get in the playoffs and avoid New Orleans and we have a shot against any team.

IMO, we have no shot in Seattle or New Orleans. Seattle should get HFA, so we have to hope someone beats them there before the NFC championship game.

Now, if NO came to Dallas, we might have a 30% chance of winning but they would be our hardest test. We do not match-up with them very well. If we somehow win the division and the divisional round game, I wouldn't mind going back to SF. Dallas beat them there a couple of years ago and that will be in the back of their minds. Would rather go there than Seattle or NO everyday of the week.

What mediocre to bad teams have won that many games in a row and went on to win the Super Bowl?

Here's what you're really saying - I'm a Cowboys fan. I don't care about the roster, just win.

The Eagles are more talented in the trenches. They don't have a bunch of NFL Europe players littering their DL.

But even having said that, the Eagles also have no shot at winning the Super Bowl this year.

Sorry, but these last 4 games should not be that hard.

You got a Bears team that is just as bad as us on defense and they are playing with their backup QB.

You got the Packers who are just terrible without Rogers and even if he comes back, he has to be rusty.

You got a Skins team that layed down like a $2 hooker at home to the Cheifs today.

Then you got an Eagles team that we already beat in their house.

I dont see why everybody is wetting themselves over these next 4 games.................if we cant win at least 3 of these games, Garrett deserves to be fired.

NO, seattler, and SF are very bad matchups for us
have a shot agaisnt caroline or detroit becasue they are significantly flawed just like we are

for any of this to matter, we need to get in and that is questionable at best

I agree but I think we stand a chance against Seattle because Russell Wilson isn't going to just pick us apart. He's a very good QB but he isn't a next level passer guy that will just pick us apart.

So I think we would have a chance against Seattle. New Orleans is the only team I know going in that we'll get ran out of the stadium against.

Very good points and I agree.
But I think most fans think of how inconsistent the Cowboys have been, winning when they really need to, but can screw a game up too. And I can't blame them one bit.
I am on that edge. However, I believe more toward they can win these 4 games more than screw up any of them.
